The Last Day
Well it’s here. The last day of 2005. I know all too well where I was 4 years ago tonight.
After experiencing chest pain for almost 3 months a friend convinced me to check myself into the hospital. My plan was a little flawed, I thought going into the hospital on the eve of a holiday would allow me not to miss as much work. It backfired. All the doctors were off for the holiday. They knew I had a problem, but, basically got me settled in and monitored me while they waited for the doctors to get back from the holidays.
The surgeon showed up on Wed and ran a heart cath on me. I knew I was in trouble when the cath was cut short and they wheeled me back upstairs. In a comical but scary twist, the nurses brought me dinner. Then the doctor comes in, says I am probably going to die before morning without a triple by-pass and asks if I have eaten. When I answer yes, he looks me right in the eye and says “ok, well I guess we will see if you make it through the night”.
Not the best night sleep I ever got. I was out of the hospital in 3 days and walking a mile daily. I can’t explain how different I felt after the surgery. It was like I had a new heart. I had been blocked 90% on one side and 100% on the other.
Now I look at each New Year a little different !!
Goodbye 2005, and welcome 2006.

The rest of the Year
Well I made it through Christmas. My Dad came from Florida and spent a couple days with us on his way to Texas. Always good to have him with us. I always realize how much like him I truly am. Like looking in a mirror.
I am working 2 days this week and then I will be off until next Tues. I would like to think I will relax and work on some of my pet projects, but, I am sure the “Honey Do’s” will capture a lot of my time.
Just a few of my computer projects I have going.
I am still working on CybersMusic with my brother Mike.
Started another site with a friend called Blog Snare
Working on my CAADD @ CyberCoded.net Blog
Trying to update my old CyberCoded.com website, and contemplating moving some of the code to PHP from ASP, which should be fun for me.
I really need to put a new hard drive in my home PC.
Yep, I got enough to keep me busy for a few days, along with picking up leaves, hanging pictures, changing oil, yadda yadda yadda…..

Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas. Of course anyone who knows me, knows what a scrooge I appear to be. I would say it’s not really Christmas that gets me, it’s what we’ve turned it into. Christmas was and is a celebration of the birth of Christ. Hence the spelling of CHRISTmas.
I always think of Christmas as a time to reflect on what I have to be thankful for, not, how many presents are under a tree.

Having fun with Music
All of my life I have had some involvement with music. As the youngest child I was taught to play the guitar by my brother so I could “sit in” with him and my sister. My sister is one of the best piano players I know. She has a God given talent, it justs flows from her fingers as naturally as anything I have ever seen.
For several years in the mid 80’s my brother and I were both working in the music industry. Him at WEA and myself working for a national music store retail chain. We had some interaction and enjoyed any time we got together.
Now we have finally embarked on a project together. We both still love music, and we are both involved in computers and the internet. So the obvious choice was to work on a website together.
And here it is…..CybersMusic , so stop by and say hi.
