Tab Energy Drink by The Mrs

Okay, I’ve finally joined the energy drink craze. It’s taken a couple of years for the drink makers to come up with one that would appeal to an over 40 mom, but Coca Cola has done it with their drink TAB Energy.

My husband and many other men are drinking “Rock Star”; male ego inspired I’m sure. My kids drink Red Bull, definitely don’t get that one. But finally something for me. No, it doesn’t taste anything like original TAB. It’s slim 10.5oz pink can at almost $2 a pop has hooked me. What does it taste like; fruity and bubbly, some say like Jolly Ranchers candy. Who cares!

I search many a convenience store and gladly pay the price.

New Millennium Business Plan

Please Buy My Company

This cartoon is probably a lot more realistic than we realize. There are a lot of companies and sites being built for the purpose of cashing in on the big sale. And when companies like YouTube come along and are only out there for 18 months before being bought up for $1.6 BILLION dollars, it seems to give a lot of incentive to try something a little out there on the cutting edge.

A hole in Picasso’s Dream

In a $139 million dollar mistake, Steve Wynn put his elbow through the center of Picasso’s “Dream” painting.

Wynn had been set to sell the painting and was showing it to some people when he accidentally hit it with his elbow and put a small hole in the center. Obviously the sale was cancelled and Wynn was quoted as saying…..

“Smack in the middle … was a black hole the size of a silver dollar. ‘Oh s—,’ he said. ‘Look what I’ve done. Thank goodness it was me.’”

Wynn is best known for developing The Mirage and Bellagio resorts in Las Vegas.

According to Lycos the following list is the Top 10 Television shows. I watch more TV since installing a DVR, simply because I can record and watch it when I have time instead of trying to fit into the Networks schedule. Only #8 & #9 are on my recorded list. I guess I am still a non mainstream viewer.

Paraskavedekatriaphobia

It’s Friday the 13th, the one day of the year where Paraskavedekatriaphobia can cause people all kinds of problems and stress.

I saw the original Friday The 13th movie at the Drive In Theater in 1980. I wonder how much influence these movies have had on the naming and diagnosing of Paraskavedekatriaphobia? And why is there a term for this, but, not the fear of Halloween.

I will say the original Halloween movie made more of an impression on me, but, that could be because I was 17 and Jamie Lee Curtis was the main character, Laurie Strode. Now if that character had been killed in the movie, I am positive my outlook would be a lot different today.

Cory Lidle Plane Crash

I could not believe this happened. How can a plane, any size, fly around the New York City skyline? Especially after 9/11.

I thought for sure that the initial reports were wrong, but it actually happened. The plane Cory Lidle (New York Yankees pitcher) was flying was a Cirrus SR20, a small 4 seater equipped with a parachute for the plane itself.

I am sorry for the loss of life, but, someone needs to do something to stop this from ever happening again. There is no excuse to have a plane crash into a building in NYC. According to some reports there are no restrictions at all on small aircraft flying in and around the New York skyline, and that is just plain stupid.

How many types of Cancer are there?

I was doing a little research into Cancer, again. I guess once you have been through Chemotherapy it stays with you. The concerns of cancer coming back are always with me. It’s not really a worry as much as a realization that it is highly probable.

I have written some about my Chemotherapy at my blog Chemotherapy Experiences and I was just curious as to how many types of Cancers there are. Well, according to The National Cancer Institute there are 206 they have listed.

Serious Atomic Threats

It’s starting to feel like we are going back a few years to the days of worrying about Nuclear War and everyone thinking of building bomb shelters in their backyards.

First Iran and now North Korea. I guess I am not as up on world events as I need to be, but, I am very unclear at was has changed so drastically over the last couple of years to bring Nuclear Weapons back into focus.

It is obvious there was a nuclear device exploded at Pyongyang on Monday. Now what happens? And where is the talk about our National Missile Defense? And what happened to The Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) that President Ronald Reagan proposed in 1983, called the Star Wars program?

As usual, I now realize I should keep up with the news more, or maybe not, is there anything that I can do about any of it anyway?

Pray !
