Old school technology is torture
My kids have no clue what a rotary phone is, and they certainly do not remember Internet access via dialup. They think email is old school. If they can not send and receive messages instantly they think they have missed out on something.
Postage? Get real, you want me to mail something, now why would I waste my time and money on postage.

Michael Richards or Michael Vick
Gonna be interesting to see who gets more headlines…
Michael Richards (Kramer) for his obscene and racial comments, or
Michael Vick (Atlanta Falcons) for his obscene gesture to a stadium full of fans?
Personally, they both ticked me off.

Electric Guitar Page
Over the weekend I added another page to the site, just for fun. Electric Guitars. The page utilizes the Google AJAX Search API tool to display videos down the left sidebar while providing the latest results from several areas on the Internet in the main column and I added a few search links to the right sidebar for quick reference.
If you like Electric Guitars, you should enjoy this page. There are some excellent videos that show up from Google.
You may also want to check out my favorite site on the net for Guitars, Electric Guitar Reviews.

My new old car…
As I have posted just recently, I love Classic cars. To me this means “old cars”, which can be anything pre 1980 and typically my favorites are anything made in the 1960’s.

My new project is a car I bought sight unseen, and I think it will work out just fine. It’s a 1965 Plymouth Valiant 100.
Thanks to the internet, decoding all the serial numbers is pretty easy. It only took me 30 minutes or so to decode all the numbers I could find on the car, including the VIN, Engine code and Fender Tag.
I will be posting periodically as we progress on the car.
The plan is to use it as a daily driver to work and back. Basically this is a 25 mile roundtrip 5 days a week.

My Love of Cars and Classic Cars
I have always been a car fan. From the time I was a small child my father always had a few cars sitting around he was working on, or as he woud say, “piddling with”. And if I had just a few of the cars I saw come and go in our garage I could retire right now.
My first car was a hand me down 1967 Ford LTD. It was not the typical car my friends were driving, but I loved that car. With a 390 V8 it was a cruiser, a very fast cruiser at that. The hot car of the day when I was in school was a Ford Maverick or Mercury Comet.
I have been looking at cars again lately and considering buying an old car to work on. My favorite to “piddle” with is probably an old Volkswagen Beetle. The reason for this is how easy they are to work on, and I can pull the motor by myself in a matter of minutes without too much work. Next on my list is any old Ford, I just love the Fords from the mid 60’s.
It only seems right to create a page for my Classic Car watching, so if you like Classic Cars, check out the new Ramble On Classic Car page!

John Kerry says Military people are not educated?
Once again, looks like John Kerry is the best thing for the Republicans. Kerry insulted anyone in the United States Military by saying…
“education, if you make the most of it and you study hard, you do your homework and make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don’t you get stuck in Iraq.” Source : John Kerry
According to some reports, Kerry just messed up a punch line. And that is believable, but, what he said was probably what he was thinking. And now it seems he has upset both Democrats and Republicans and cancelled some engagements. To know that he really messed up, even Hillary Clinton called the comments “inappropriate”. And as usual it’s a wordfest for both sides. Everyone is jumping on this one, from John McCain to President Bush there will be no escaping this in the politcal highlight reels for some time to come.
