Mississippi Weather

This is the time of the year I can actually enjoy the Mississippi weather. I spent a lot of time in South Texas and I always thought that was the most hot and humid weather there was, until I moved to Mississippi. In July and August the heat and humidity is the worst I have ever felt.

But now, it’s great, the Mississippi weather has turned very nice just in the last couple of weeks. Now if it will just stay like this for awhile.

Who Invented Golf

Have you ever thought about that? Who invented Golf

You can always tell someone who has never tried to play Golf. They say things like, Golf is not a sport, anyone can hit a little ball in a little hole with a big stick.

I have been thinking about playing Golf again. It has been several years since I last played, but I loved playing Golf. And the great thing about Golf is anyone can play, and it is probably the best sport that allows different levels of players to play together.

Since I am probably more out of shape now than I have ever been, maybe I will hang out at Mike Pedersen’s blog and see if I can learn how to get in shape before I jump out on the course.

Finally some Fall weather

Temperatures here in Central Mississippi finally dropped down to acceptable levels this week. Of course it is almost like we skipped a season somewhere in there.

Since we had a couple of hours to ourselves last night, the wife and I decided we needed some Hot Chocolate after our evening walk. Typically this means going to the local coffee shop, or popping some instant Hot Chocolate through the microwave, but, last night she had a great idea. Let’s do it the old fashion way! I have to admit, I am not sure I have ever made Hot Chocolate like that, and I believe the last time I saw it done was a kid in the late 60’s or early 70’s.

It was great!! There is no substitute for the real deal. If you have not done this, you should give it a try. It only takes 5 to 10 minutes but it is well worth it.

And when was 10 minutes too long to wait for something really good !

Internet Quiz to show your Candidate

Are you tired of trying to figure out which candidate really believes in the same issues as you?

Watch all the debates, read all the articles, listen to hours upon hours of political ramble and you still are not sure. So here ya go, take a 10 minute quiz on the Internet and let this system show you how the candidates match up to your concerns.

Anything that would help me cut through the political rhetoric is something I like.

The accuracy seems pretty good. I have taken the quiz and seen the results of several others and it matches up the candidates with the individuals very well.

Answer the 11 questions below to find out which candidates are most aligned with your views and opinions. You may skip questions if you do not want them factored into the results. This quiz is not meant to pick your candidate for you. It is designed to inform the public of the various stances candidates make. Results are not scientific.

Dallas Cowboys go 5-0

That had to be one of the strangest Monday Night Football games I can recall. Tony Romo tied a Cowboy record with 5 interceptions and they still won the game. I have seen a lot of press this morning on how the Cowboys should be 4-1 and don’t deserve that win, well I disagree.

Face the facts, the Cowboys (mainly Romo) had a terrible game, but what does it say for a Quarterback to throw 5 interceptions and still be able to play with any confidence. And for that matter for the coaching staff not to pull him from the game. Add to that the fact that the Buffalo Bills never hit the end zone on offense, the only way they scored was by Romo’s mistakes or Special Teams. And finally, Nick Folk not only hit a 53 yard field goal, he had to do it twice because of the last second timeout (good call) of the Bills.

The Dallas Cowboys deserve that win has much as any team could!
