More YouTube and less Television
I have spent the last 4 days at home enjoying the Holidays. One of the things I noticed is that we tend to go to YouTube for video entertainment instead of the Television. We have already seen all the Christmas classics a thousand times and there is really nothing on TV.
We used YouTube a lot over the last few days. The kids (teenagers) love to dig up silly videos and show them to us and we can find stuff for them that they have never seen.
A good example is Rich Little. I remember Rich being a great impressionist from when I was a kid. Well now there is Frank Caliendo and the kids could not believe anyone was ever as good as Frank. Well, thanks to YouTube I found some Rich Little videos and showed them.
I think Frank Caliendo would do better focusing on Videos Online instead of a 30 minute TV show (Frank TV).
Try it, go to YouTube and search for some of that old stuff you liked, you may be very surprised at what you find.

Santa Claus Tracker
It’s that time of year again, and the technology sure makes it easier than ever to have an accurate Santa Claus Tracker.
The Norad Santa site has to be considered the Official Santa Tracker.
So make sure to bookmark it and help the kids keep up with Santa Claus.

Monster Energy Drink
This is definitely my new favorite drink, the Monster energy drink is one of the few energy drinks that I really like the taste. The can is easily recognizable with the monster energy drink logo being what looks like the letter M scratched out of the can. And their marketing slogan is Unleash The Beast, oh yeah!
The Lo-Carb Monster is my favorite, in the blue can.
They have a pretty cool website too. Obviously these companies have learned the power of the Internet when marketing, especially to the 18-35 males.

Dan Fogelberg
Sunday December 16th, 2007 Dan Fogelberg passed away.
I feel really bad because I did not know he was battling cancer. As a cancer survivor and a man getting close to 50 I have to admit that prostate cancer scares me very much. If you visit the Official Dan Fogelberg website there is a personal letter and sermon from Dan. I would recommend reading these.
God rest your soul Dan, and thanks for all the fantastic music over the years.

Cooler Weather
Looks like we might not have temperatures in the 70’s after all for Christmas.
A little cool air finally came through today and it is certainly a nice break from the weather pattern for the last month or so. I just can’t stand to have a hot Christmas, it just seems wrong somehow. But, growing up in the south I have learned to deal with it.

Toe Injuries
Everyone laughs at the fact that I had a full cast for 2 weeks for a broken big toe and now I have been in a “healing shoe” for the last 3 weeks.
I went to the Doctor on Monday and I could not believe it. The x-ray almost seemed worse than before, I could clearly see the fracture from a distance. So she gave me a different healing shoe to wear for 3 weeks and then I will start weaning into some sort of split inside a regular shoe.
I never thought my big toe would cause such a pain in my …..
Another wonderful December. We are skipping Christmas this year for the most part. It’s just too expensive with all the other things that have gone wrong. I am already looking forward to 2008, not sure why, but it hopefully will be better than 2007.

2 things driving me crazy
There are 2 things that have been making me crazy. The violence in our country and the politics. Both are just out of hand. I am not sure how and if we can get either of these things under control but I think we certainly need to try.
The violence is overwhelming. I have 2 teenagers and it is now to the point where I worry no matter where they are going. Schools are not safe, malls are not safe, is there anywhere that is safe, NO.
The politics have become just attacks on individuals. I really don’t care what one politician thinks of another politician. I want elected officials that will actually say what they will do, and do what they say. Quit trying to tell me how bad everyone else is, start telling me the truth about who you are.
