Becoming A Real Estate Agent
Years ago I was told to get a Real Estate license and become a Real Estate agent, I ignored that advice only to find myself now doing just that.
Becoming a Real Estate agent is not that hard, it just takes a little time, money and studying. With the perception that Real Estate is such a bad market right now it just seems like a good time to get in, while everyone is getting out.
I am just trading some spare time I usually spend on the computer working on web sites and blogs with studying for a Real Estate license.
I guess I should also read Real Estate License Exams For Dummies.

NASCAR Accidents
I wonder how many people watch Nascar just for the accidents?
A little research into the top searches for Nascar reveals a large majority of searches revolve around Nascar crashes.
Since the Michael McDowell accident during qualifying last week at Texas Motor Speedway the traffic to view the video has been enormous. And the film has been on every major network and cable news program available.
Since Nascar has standardized their cars on the COT (Car of Tomorrow) platform the accidents seem to be going down and certainly the safety has gone up. Nascar safety was already a big concern, but since the loss of Dale Earnhardt, there have been major strides in improving the safety to a point where it is amazing what the driver can walk away from.
It’s such a shame we had to lose some great people like Earnhardt & Adam Petty before the technology was there to make racing as safe as it is today.

New Postal Rates - Again
This is getting to be an annual event. Almost exactly a year to the day of the last increase, the USPS will be raising the postal rates once again. Of course I guess this should be expected.
Years ago, I would buy a book of stamps just for my monthly payments. Now, I can pay everything except a couple local bills online, which saves me time and money.
One thing I thought was interesting on the official USPS page announcing the postal rates increase, they use the term “Pricing Highlights”, like there is something about an increase that is supposed to impress us or make us happy.

Nascar Crash - Texas Motor Speedway
Yesterday Sprint Cup rookie driver Michael McDowell crashed during qualifying. This has to be the hardest hit I think I have seen. Obviously Nascar has come a long way since the crash that killed Dale Earnahrdt in their efforts to make racing safer.
McDowell walked away without an injury.
