Dan Fogelberg
Sunday December 16th, 2007 Dan Fogelberg passed away.
I feel really bad because I did not know he was battling cancer. As a cancer survivor and a man getting close to 50 I have to admit that prostate cancer scares me very much. If you visit the Official Dan Fogelberg website there is a personal letter and sermon from Dan. I would recommend reading these.
God rest your soul Dan, and thanks for all the fantastic music over the years.

Christmas Tree Sales
Over the last few years it has been reported that live Christmas Trees Sales continue to decline, while artificial Christmas Tree sales are growing.
There are probably a lot of reasons for this including the time it takes to shop for a tree and the ability to haul it. Plus as with almost everything else, online Christmas tree sales are sure to make it easier. Why run around town fighting the Christmas tree sales when you can have a Christmas Tree delivered to your door.
And just think, it may be the last Christmas Tree you ever have to buy.

Fun Stocking Stuffers
One of the fun things to do in the Christmas Shopping frenzy is to find Fun Stocking Stuffers.
It can be a little bit of a challenge depending on the person, but it is always fun to try and find small, inexpensive stocking stuffers. Of course, online shopping has made this a lot easier, but the real fun is shopping the old fashion way for these items.

Baby Boomers
I never gave much thought to the fact that I am at the tail end of the Baby Boomer generation until recently when every search I do for my own personal use seems to return some match that begins or ends with Baby Boomers.
Stuff like eyesight. I started researching my failing eyesight. I have to take a pair of reading glasses everywhere I go. I finally gave in and wear a pair around my neck.
So there it is; Baby Boomers need glassses, Baby Boomers preparing for retirement, Baby Boomers blah blah blah….

Internet search is like nothing else
Ya gotta love it. Digging around on the Internet is like nothing else we have ever seen before. You can find anything if you look hard enough.
While working with a new program, Micro Niche Finder, I was doing some basic research and came across a site that just got my attention. AntiqueBulldozers.com, now how much more focused on a market can you get. Antique Bulldozers, years ago that would have been like finding a needle in a haystack, and now it is just a few clicks away.
If you have a need for doing phrase and keyword research, check out Micro Niche Finder. It is not that it does anything that you can not do yourself, it is the fact that it does it so organized and fast. And I know I can use all the time saving help I can get, lol.

Nissan recalling 140,000 Altima
This Nissan recall is for the Altima from 2007 because the air filter can catch fire if a hot object gets pulled in to it. A lot of these cars were made not to far from where I live at the Canton, Mississippi plant.
Out of curiosity I wanted to see how they would use their website to assist with this recall, however, the link for the recall returns an error. So I guess they will have to recall the recall page, lol.

July 4th Fireworks
If you want to see fireworks on the Fourth of July, please go watch a fireworks show that has the proper safety precautions in place.
As much as I love the 4th of July, and Fireworks, I am still very cautious and not much fun.
When I was 13 I was hit in the eye with a bottle rocket, and to make matters worse, it exploded at impact leaving me blind for over a month.
I lost vision in one eye permanently, and was fortunate to get full vision restored in the other eye.
So, have fun, but please be careful.
Happy 4th of July !

Tunguska event
The Tunguska event is fascinating. It is amazing to read about something of this magnitude that I had never heard of.
I came across it in my morning feeds as I am subscribed to This Day in History which is a pretty fun and educational subscription.
