Let me be candid. I can not read a bill such as the Health Care Reform and really understand it. At the same time, I can not believe any politician to tell me the truth.

As far as politicians go, I think it is to the point that each party just wants to NOT support whatever the other party does, plain and simple.

Parts of the Health Care Reform sound good to me, but other parts are just out of my grasp. So why should I believe the Republicans that it is bad, and why should I believe the Democrats that it is good?

Personally I think the US Government is too big and bad.

As an example what sense does paying tax on what you earn make? Really, think about it. Let’s penalize everyone who earns more, success = more tax, really makes ya want to live the American Dream doesn’t it.

The Fair Tax plan makes sense to me, if you want to spend money, you pay tax, if you want to be frugal you can pay less tax, it’s up to you.

So where does that put me, Repuplican? Democrat? Tea Party?

And who can I believe?

After the last Republican debate in South Carolina I think I have finally figured Ron Paul out.

Ron Paul is the Peter Pan of Politics. No matter how much he wants me to believe, I still know he can not fly.

During the last debate in South Carolina Ron Paul made George W Bush look like an oratory expert. I can not recall anyone being so far off base as Paul appeared to be. At one point the person asking a question even had to ask Ron what he was responding to, because it did not sound like anything that could be connected to the question.

For me, Ron Paul is not the answer. I can understand how people could be pulled in to his camp, but just being the outsider with a fresh voice is not enough.

By the eind of the day we should have a little bit clearer picture on the upcoming Presidential Election. To keep up with the whole process better I have hired a new writer on NonPartyPolitics.com

Having been raised a Christian Conservative this always meant that I leaned pretty far right and Republican. Now those lines are getting pretty blurry and that is one of the reasons I named the site NonPartyPolitics. The other main reason is that I (and I hope I am not alone) am totally feed up with the Political mud slinging and partisan approach to everything. Yes, some things keep us in a Party, but, a lot of things should be worked out regardless of your Party affiliation.

Tonight is the Iowa caucus and I guess that means we can at least expect to narrow the Presidential Candidate field down a little. Usually after the Iowa caucus at least a couple candidates drop out and give their support to someone else. It is probably just an aspect of the mass media these days but it sure seems like we had more candidates than ever before. Some candidates will stick around until next week for the New Hampshire Primary.

Of course the Republican and Democratic conventions are not held until September so we have a long way to go in finding out who will be the leading candidates for their party nominations.

I personally expect to see some real shakeups after tonight.

Are you tired of trying to figure out which candidate really believes in the same issues as you?

Watch all the debates, read all the articles, listen to hours upon hours of political ramble and you still are not sure. So here ya go, take a 10 minute quiz on the Internet and let this system show you how the candidates match up to your concerns.

Anything that would help me cut through the political rhetoric is something I like.

The accuracy seems pretty good. I have taken the quiz and seen the results of several others and it matches up the candidates with the individuals very well.

Answer the 11 questions below to find out which candidates are most aligned with your views and opinions. You may skip questions if you do not want them factored into the results. This quiz is not meant to pick your candidate for you. It is designed to inform the public of the various stances candidates make. Results are not scientific.

This morning another earthquake hit California. There is no doubt that there is more seismic activity recently. Looking at the map on the USGS website indicates a lot of earthquakes are happening. This will certainly give new cause to people like Al Gore to jump up and down and blame it on everyone for not taking care of their earth. Well, I don’t buy it. The earth has been through a lot worse times than we see now, and long before it was over populated, so that can not be the only reason for this type activity.

I do believe we should take better care of our resources, however, I do not think we can control and manipulate the planet based on a small percentage of the people changing how we do things. And especially when most of the people who jump up and down screaming save the planet are themselves not doing the things they support, it really makes it hard to get behind any movement. It’s like listening to John Edwards say he understands poverty, yeah right, sure you do John.

Maybe God (or whatever, or whoever you want to have faith in), has a plan. You want me to believe that it was all created on accident, and then you want me to change it based on some better plan?

Maybe it is just the way it is, or is that just being naive?

This hurts, really hurts, but, I have to give credit where credit is due.

It is obvious that Hillary Clinton learned some things from Bill. Former President Bill Clinton understood how to work a crowd and give a speech, and now Hillary shows the rest of the candidates how to connect with the new Internet generation. Her Soprano’s Spoof video was excellent and has certainly led to a lot of attention via the Internet.

Not sure that her selection of a Celine Dion tune was the right choice though.

I know I am getting old, I watched both Political Debates this week. Not totally focused, every minute, but, I watched them.

I think I might vote for the first candidate that answered a yes or no question, with, a YES or NO.

Every candidate goes on and on, running over, talking on and on when it is obvious that their time is up. If a guy can not follow simple instructions, can we trust him as our Commander in Chief?

Samuel Alito Hearings : The Democrats are more interested in face time than they are doing anything constructive.

Al Gore : His speech on Martin Luther King Day was a good example of my comment above. Using a civil rights inspired day to try and drive a wedge between people. We need more pulling together, not, more driving apart.

Party Politics : I’s out of hand. We should be more interested in the protection of this country and what freedoms we have. Instead of the constant blasting of the “other side”.

Mass Media : In their quest for “the big story” they tell more than they need to. Some things need to be private for our best interest. It’s seems that if our enemies what to know what we are thinking and planning, just turn on the news channels (most of them) and they will give you all the details.
