The start of my Chemotherapy Blog

Whenever I tell someone I am a Cancer survivor the conversation almost always turns to Chemo Therapy and how it affected me.

I wish Blogs had been around when I was in the middle of my Chemo so I could have kept a log of the daily events.

Chemotherapy is harsh and it is a struggle. Thats why it is always nice to have someone who is there for you. My girlfriend went through it and she started to lose her hair that she cherished so much. So I went out to purchase a lace wig for her. Come to find out they are really expensive. They and and cost anywhere from $500 to $4,000. But I found this website that sells Lace wigs at a reasonable price. I know for women or hair is what makes us feel feminine. So now I am on a mission to tell every chemotrapy patient out there to go to www.mysunshines.com you just might like what you see. My girlfriend loves it because it is so natural looking. and althoug what she is going throug is very painful i enjoy it at that one moment when she look in the mirror and recognizing herself . My payers are out there for everyone going throug the same thing. www.mysunshines.com

I agree that lace wigs can make a huge difference. I also know people who have gone through or are currently going through chemotherapy treatments and the affect it has on their appearance can be heart-breaking. There is a shop in Los Angeles called Mo' Hair Technologies where 2 friends were able to get fitted for beautiful lace wigs. The wigs were applied in-store and the transformation was amazing! You could immediately see the change in their attitude and demeanor once the wig was applied. These women are amazing and their inner glow shined through! The best part about this shop is that they work very closely with a dermatologist from Beverly Hills who recommends and endorses their wigs, so you know your health is important to them. Their website is www.mohairtech.com.

My friend Marion said that when she got the diagnosis of breast cancer, the fear hit her so hard the she got sick to her stomach – even though the doctor told her she was going to be OK. She said she was depressed because of all the bad things she knew were coming. I picked up on that she was suffering on things before they had happened – and I hoped that maybe they wouldn’t be as bad as she thought. I felt guilty because I wasn’t going through it. So it was easy for me to tell her not to worry – but that wasn’t helping too much. So, being the research brain that I am, I searched the internet to see what might help with her worries. I found something at www.chemocaremusic.com that turned out to be so good for her. It calms her so fast, helps a lot with the nausea, and especially helps her get to sleep. It’s made a LOT of difference.

Thank you so much for this inspirational post. The chemotherapy is really the most painful phase not physically, but emotionally. My sister-in-law underwent a breast removal surgery after being diagnosed stage 2 borderline 3. The following chemotherapy had serious side-effects. She lost all the hair and had to stay in home for months together.
