This is awesome, the New Orleans Saints in the Super Bowl. It has been a long, long wait for the the NOLA fans. But it is even sweeter now since the devastation of Katrina.

The Saints are obviously playing great this year, I just hope they realize how tough the Indianapolis Colts can be, especially that Peyton Manning fellow, which they should know well since he grew up in New Orleans.

Go Saints ! Who Dat Nation!

To the West it is snowing in Dallas, this could make for an interesting Christmas Holiday here.

Hopefully the Tornado’s will stay away and we can just enjoy the family and food tonight and tomorrow. It is certainly a lot different since the kids are grown up. We are going to see the new Sherlock Holmes movie tomorrow as a family.

We did enjoy ourselves, mostly watching our kids (young adults) and their friends ride the rides and just being silly. Our youngest daughter made us ride one ride with her, so we rode the Mouse Roller Coaster.

Through the evening we sampled the Philly Cheese Steak, Sausage and yes, like everyone told us we had to have a Funnel Cake!

Of course it will probably be back in the 90’s by the end of the week, but we will take what we can get, when we can get it.

So here we are, a couple years into the Tony Romo era, and things are not going exactly the way we would like, oh yeah, we got the stadium of stadiums to play in, but if we can’t win games, who cares.

The Mustangs have always been a favorite of mine, and this list of 1968 Mustang for Sale really grabbed my attention. There is a car here for all types of Mustang fans. From a torn down project car to a totally restored 68 Shelby.

If nothing else I enjoy just looking at the range of restoration people have done to their old car.

Last night I decided to treat my husband and I to some fast food as I was in the mood for something fattening. We went to Taco Bell and both ordered a #7 which is a drink, taco, and quesadilla. The total bill was $10.50. We got home and were concerned because the bag was small and light. The order was there. The taco was as usual. But the quesadilla which was supposed to be chicken had mostly cheese and possibly chicken on it. It was so flat and small that it didn’t even make a meal. I ended up making sandwiches after we had our Taco Bell snack.

Now I know it’s difficult to get consistency at chain restaurants, but this was ridiculous. So if you want an even exchange of food for your dollar this is not the place to go. This Taco Bell is located in the Castlewoods area of Brandon and is number 18271.

In today’s economic situation we need our dollars to buy more not less. I would not suggest this location to anyone.

I was a little surprised I was able to maintain it especially since I had some Tamales from San Antonio, but tradition is tradition. Whenever my wife or I get a chance to go to Texas we have to bring back some Mexican Food from South Texas. 

Now let’s see if I can keep this program going!

I have decided to lose 30lbs and do it with a very simple diet plan that has worked before. I am cutting back on calories and increasing calorie burning activities. That is it, the whole deep dark secret diet program.

And if I can get back down to a 32″ waist I will be thrilled.

I live in Mississippi, been here for 12 years, but, I grew up in Texas. So with the Ole Miss Rebels taking on the Texas Tech Red Raiders I am going to have to choose an allegiance that could get me in trouble with someone, somewhere, lol.

But, I have to go with Texas, home is home! And besides, I will be watching the game from Texas, so I need to be careful there.

This is one of those times I hope my local friends and neighbors are not reading my blog, lol.

Then, she did the same thing for the kids. So, we now have enough hand picked Christmas tree ornaments that we have no room for some of the old standards.

Of course I did not realize when we moved into our new house this year, which has a cathedral ceiling in the family room that this would come into play at Christmas.

Now can have a BIGGER Christmas tree! 

I never, ever, would have thought of that on my own, trust me, lol.

Oh, I guess the one good thing is I think I finally have her convinced to use an Artificial Christmas Tree!

It can be a little bit of a challenge depending on the person, but it is always fun to try and find small, inexpensive stocking stuffers. Of course, online shopping has made this a lot easier, but the real fun is shopping the old fashion way for these items.

There are probably a lot of reasons for this including the time it takes to shop for a tree and the ability to haul it. Plus as with almost everything else, online Christmas tree sales are sure to make it easier. Why run around town fighting the Christmas tree sales when you can have a Christmas Tree delivered to your door.

And just think, it may be the last Christmas Tree you ever have to buy.

Yeah, I know, everyone wants the Turkey and Ham, but me, I love the green bean casserole, stuffed jalapenos, and potato salad. 

Each year it seems that our Thanksgiving dinner takes on a new twist, and this year will be no different. I think it will be one of the few Thanksgiving dinners we have had without any family besides our 2 kids. Of course as they get older we seem to have a few visitors with each meal, and then they all run off with their friends. 

Another one of life’s seasons that is changing right before our eyes!
