Immigration Debate
I have stayed clear of this issue so far, but, it is getting increasingly harder to do. I grew up as a Military brat, this means that I learned to live and share with people from all corners of this country.
Most of my youth was spent in the San Antonio, Texas area. Both my children where born in Victoria, Texas. I now reside in Jackson, Mississippi. I have spent most of my life in areas that are made up of a large portion of the American minority population.
This article by Herbert Meyer hits the nail on the head. No American should be able to say they are against immigration, without immigration not one of us would be here. What we are really against is the fact that a large portion of illegal aliens have no intention of seeking to become a true American.
- Why don’t we have a National language?
- Why do we keep lowering standards instead of educating up?
- Why do we allow illegals to take jobs from citizens?
- Why don’t we worry about getting our own kids assimilated to our country?
