Hansen joe namath batted .667 throughout his high school baseball career, and didn't even pick up a footbal until jr. high. by the time he went to high school, he could throw the football a city block. even once he approached his sr. year, his offers for professional play came in baseball, not football. he went to Maryland to enroll in college on his mother's wishes, and after failing his college boards to play at Maryland, he was shuffled off to 'Bama on a whim and went on to win a national title and enjoy 20 years and a superbowl win in the NFL. not bad for a farm kid from pennsylvania.
