Today, November 11th is Veterans Day. 

I always thought Veterans Day should be more recognized as a Holiday. What do we celebrate during the year that is more important than the men and women who protect our great country?

Thanks to everyone who has ever served in our armed forces, without you we would not be able to appreciate the great freedoms that we as a country have!

John Kerry

Once again, looks like John Kerry is the best thing for the Republicans. Kerry insulted anyone in the United States Military by saying…

“education, if you make the most of it and you study hard, you do your homework and make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don’t you get stuck in Iraq.” Source : John Kerry

According to some reports, Kerry just messed up a punch line. And that is believable, but, what he said was probably what he was thinking. And now it seems he has upset both Democrats and Republicans and cancelled some engagements. To know that he really messed up, even Hillary Clinton called the comments “inappropriate”. And as usual it’s a wordfest for both sides. Everyone is jumping on this one, from John McCain to President Bush there will be no escaping this in the politcal highlight reels for some time to come.

Nope, I am not just giving you my personal opinion. It’s a fact.

In God We Trust is the national motto of the United States. 50 years ago almost to the day, a law was passed by the 84th Congress and approved by the President.

A letter back in 1861 got the ball rolling and with very little exception all of our currency has had In God We Trust printed on it.

So why is it that we now let everyone take God out of the fabric of our society?

Forget for a moment what you believe, it is the National Motto, if you live here should you not abide by the laws? And if “In God We Trust” was placed on our currency by a law, does that not mean that we have to support it, like it or not?

Or is this like everything else, we are SO FREE that we can choose what laws we will abide by?

Sometimes, thoughts just pop in my head and I wonder if they have any possible real value?

With all the problems in the world community today and the inability of fixing anything by anyone, I wonder what would happen if all of a sudden the United States just pulled out of every place that is not our soil and proclaimed…

“We are now going to practice Isolationsim”

Kill each other, we don’t care, go ahead, really, it’s ok. We believe we have everything we need to protect ourselves and our borders are now closed. It’s going to be a little tougher on our people than they are accustomed to, but, we can get by.

Ok, there are 2 key facts I know about me. I am a Christian, and I am a software programmer. So I have to put things into a perspective I can understand, and this assignement must be true.

Based on this….

Judge says Ten Commandments can stay: “The American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio sued Lucas County in 2002 to have the display removed, saying it was unconstitutional and promoted religion.”

If you are willing to sue because something “promoted religion” it only proves the fact that you can not be a member of the ACLU and a Christian. The great commission of the Christian faith is clear.

Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

If you are a member of the ACLU, great. And if you are a Christian, great.

Just remember, ya can’t be both.

Am I the only person sick of Party politics?

Yes, I think one party is better than the other, and I probably agree with 70 – 80% of their platform. But the rhetoric and bashing is driving me crazy. It seems nothing is about what people want anymore, it’s about which party can smear, attack and destroy the other side.

I would like to see one day, just one, where no one in the United States says the words Republican or Democrat. If you think someone is making a bad decision or is doing something stupid, then say that, without using the persons political affiliation or attacking the individual.
