Watch out, Young Frankenstein is headed to Broadway. And Mel Brooks is producing the new musical! The original movie was released in 1974 and certainly had a cult following ever since. If I am not mistaken, that was my first sighting of Terri Garr, oh yeah. Obviously we are in the midst of retro times.

Jasmine Hurley What a fantastic weekend!!!!!! Great friends, fabulous weather!!!!!! Started walking a little without cast and so far so good :) seem to have healed just fine...tomorrow it is off to see Young Frankenstein and do some shopping in Brampton!!! Going to be a great week!!
Steve Simels A propos of nothing... True story: In the original script for Mel Brooks' YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, Dr. Frankenstein learns that the secret of life and death is fruit juice. So the creation of the monster scene was going to have Peter Boyle hooked up to a gigantic machine with every conceivable kind of fruit being crushed and pumped into the monster's veins. At which point, the monster was going to jump off the slab, stare into the camera and then this dialogue would ensue-- THE MONSTER: "Judy's at the Palace! I'm late!!! DR FRANKENSTEIN AND IGOR: "Too much fruit!!!" A true story, at least according to Mel.
