Never Forget !

In a lot of ways it already seems that we have forgotten what tragedies struck us at the hands of terrorists on September 11, 2001 (911).
Please do not forget. As we forget how critical these events were in our history, it will certainly change the course of our future. We need to be aware that those who attacked us, are still on the loose. We must continue to be concerned for our country’s security, even if it means we are “put out” a little with procedures at our airports, railways and ports.
If you’re new here, you may want to subscribe [...]

V-I Day and the Loyal Opposition

How the GOP can and should help the new President help America, and in the process help themselves. Originally published by Mike “gamecock” DeVine as legal editor for The Minority Report We start on two fronts today. The first is the Eastern Front, or, more precisely, the Middle Eastern Front, where conclusive evidence of total victory by the Armed Forces of the United States emerged this week with the approval of a security agreement endorsed by Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and P

Ok So It Probably Wasn't An Alien...More Likely A Meteorite

Those people who called 911 in Novato last week claiming they had seen "flying space debris"  were probably seeing some part of this.   Amazing that someone had his camera pointed at the horizon at exactly the right time!

W. Was A Brolin Stone (Production)

There are two great, if not stone cold classic, aspects to Oliver Stone’s W. Put aside the fact that Stone has somehow managed to wander back from the wilderness of his own self-indulgence and succeed in making entertaining a film no-one really wanted to see, there are two things which will make this seemingly ephemeral election stunt film linger in film history. The first is simply the central performance. Josh Brolin is mesmeric in the lead role. Is he playing George W. Bush? Not for a minute

South Metro News Shorts for November 22nd

There really hasn’t been much going on in the South Metro worth writing about this week so I have compiled everything that I tried to give a good writeup for but wasn’t able to: 1. The douchebag Dakota County Sheriff’s deputy who killed a motorcyclist and was only convicted of careless driving back in April was arrested for DUI this week. 2. There is a big disagreement between members of the Burnsville, Eagan, Savage school board members on how to proceed with a performing arts magnet school.

Don't jump!

Mark Jenkins caused a stir when he placed this sculpture on the terrace of Roanoke's Taubman Museum of Art. People driving by called 911 and others banged on the museum doors to alert staff that someone was about to jump. The local news station reported on all the excitement here.

Tanya Friedly Burned The House Down

Warren, MI - Tanya Laura Friedly, 32, tried to kill herself and her two children on Tuesday.  And if not for the quick action of Friedly’s 13-year-old son, she probably would have succeeded.   After pulling her kids out of school Tuesday morning, Friedly made the kids hot chocolate laced with prescription drugs.  She then left her son and ten-year-old daughter in the downstairs living room, went upstairs, and set the house on fire. Tuesday morning was weird for Friedly’s two kids even be

Eye Witness News With KNIGHT, Brandi, Eric and Nadja

Eye Witness News With KNIGHT, Brandi, Eric and Nadja Last night Brandi and I took our friends, Eric and Nadja, out for the evening. You'll remember them from their wedding I shot last year in Barbados. So many Northerners are migrating to the south and this New York couple is contemplating the pros and cons of The Big Peach (Atlanta). As you know by now the weirdest things happen to me when I am out on the town. It used to only be when I was alone but this time I had backup. This is my Eye W

What does Obama Think of Al-Qaida now?

I see that Al-Qaida’s no 2, Ayman al-Zawahri, has publicly accused the president-elect of being a “house negro”, meaning that the president-elect is nothing more than a subservient lapdog for white people. It’s the ultimate diss for an American black man.        On the campaign trail, Obama pooh-poohed the dangers of Al-Qaida as just a bunch of angry Arabs with long-festering religious rivalries who, if left alone, would continue their fight among themselves. Obama claimed that Al-Qaid

Porsche success in Classic Adelaide prologue

NEW South Wales wheat farmer Bill Pye marked his return to the Classic Adelaide tarmac rally by snatching fastest time in the Prologue staged in the Adelaide Hills. Pye, from Coonamble, punched his 1974 Porsche 911 RS up the 2.9 kilometre climb to the Eagle on the Hill in one minute 43.8 seconds, a mere 0.2 sec. ahead of 2007 rally winner Kevin Weeks, who drove a 1975 version of the same model Porsche. The Prologue results determine starting order for cars in the Late Classic, Classic and

Gordon Murray - Reflections on the Acura NSX

To this day, the NSX is still a car that is near and dear to my heart. I put 75,000 Km on my NSX over the course of six or seven years. It’s very difficult to discuss the NSX using current values and sensibilities. When the NSX debuted, the word “supercar” was still a relatively new idea in Europe. There are some who would say the Lamborghini Miura from the late 1960s was the first supercar. However, the truth is the explosion of modern supercars really started at the end of the 1980s.

To my sick little monkey

Dear Kid Saturdays at Cutest Kid Ever Dear JSL, Apparently you were not able to let your big brother be the only sick kid in the house. Last night you had to top his pinkeye with some "fun" of your own. Daddy and I were silly and should have known something was wrong. You hardly ever toss all food that you are given and that is what was happening. When we felt your head you were burning up. Flashbacks of when you were in the hospital last February came flooding back. We gave you ibuprofen a
