Addidas Tag Page
Addidas and Reggie Bush know how to advertise.
Reggie Bush got some extra headlines this week for the $10,000 fine levied on him by the NFL for wearing Addidas cleats in last weeks pre season game.Just goes to show that Addidas may have figured out what The Golden Palace casino learned a long time ago. A different way to advertise.
The NFL only allows players to wear Nike or Reebok shoes during games. So how is another shoe company supposed to make good on endorsements it has with football players? Simple, have them wear your shoes and pay the fine.
Basically Addidas just paid $10,000 for a whole lot of [...]
Video Thursday: MercyMe “Crazy”
This weeks cover tune grab bag from MercyMe is for the song “Crazy”. It’s the 2006 mainstream single from Gnalrs Barkley, a musical collaboration between hip hop artists Danger Mouse and Cee-Lo. The song won a 2007 Grammy Award for Best Urban/Alternative Performance.I don’t know about you, but whenever I think hip hop I think MercyMe so put on your Addidas and kick it one time with the boys.

SPOTTED: Andre 3000 & Robin Thicke
Andre 3000 was spotted arriving to LAX for a trip yesterday: Only he can wear red pants and a young military coat and still have swagger. Robin Thicke was also spotted at the airport yesterday…but in the MIA: He was flying solo without his wife Paula Patton. I see he wears the black and white suit with Addidas uniform daily. Still loves Mr. Thicke.
finally, in my dreamland.
finally, in my dreamland. November 13th, 2008 Hong Kong. right now, I’m blogging in my China Home in Quan Zhou. I am so tired for the pass few days. very very tired. my leg feels like it doesn’t have muscle cells and my shoulders feels like it has two tonnes of rocks on top of it. ughhh. Hong Kong is indeed a place where you need loads of stamina, BECAUSE you gotta do everything FAST FAST FAST! not only that, but to walk throughout your journey too, as the taxi’s are SUPER expensive. anyway,
The Twelve Commandments Of Madonna
Srsly, I’ve always thought that Kablahblahblahlalalah was as creepy fail as Scientology, but I never really quite realized just how creepy fail it is. Case in point: Madonna (otherwise known as Mistress Of All She Surveys), herself a bit creepy fail, finally let hubby Guy Ritchie see his sons, but it is provided he follows the Twelve Commandments as set forth by Her Holiness: Do not let them watch TV, read newspapers or magazines, or watch DVDs UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. They can only eat fo
KANYE WEST IN LIVERPOOL
Kanye has been in Liverpool, England the past few days for Perez Hilton’s One Night In Liverpool event and the 2008 MTV European Music Awards. In the picture below, while attending a pre-MTV EMA dinner, Kanye is seen wearing a hat from Pharrell’s Billionaire Boys Club line, red jacket by Italy-based brand Moncler, and white shoes that are from the Jeremy Scott x Adidas collaboration. Beware of forced perspective in advertisements!…it sucks
… Yes I know its called ‘forced perspective’ or in other words ‘illusion’. It is one of the trickiest forms of advertising used to sell mammoth products which they make to seem as really ‘cool little gadgets’ that ‘you got to buy man!’. So here’s the story of a smart Chinese fellow who manufactured the world’s biggest mobile phone (Chinese have really small hands) and when it went to the Germans, they found it difficult to comfortably hold it but guess what happened when it went to the Zulu Af
Kingpin Slim Day 1 (The Shooting)
A friend of mine told me about a shooting over the weekend near a party spot that your boy normally goes to on Saturday nights. I guess she informed me about it because I was sort of M.I.A. that Saturday night into the the next morning. I actually fell asleep at Howard and my phone was off. Anyways, today I get word on who was shot and what happen. It so happened to be an upcoming artist out of the DMV area by the name of Kingpin Slim. I met the homie a few times at a few spots here in D.C. Smal
November Gratitudes: The Running Edition
(Admittedly, I’ve tried this every year: write every single day in November, something I am grateful for. I’m trying it again this year, although, who am I kidding: I’ve not been so successful at blogging every single day. Here it is, ten minutes before November 1st ends, and I’m trying to squeeze it in. Still, worth another shot, yes?) Some running things I am grateful for: 1. Cliff Bloks. The last time I ran a half marathon (August 2004), the thing to do, about halfway through your long r
David Beckham on loan to AC Milan
David Beckham had signed for an excessive amount with the LA Galaxy at 250 million dollars for 5 years. Apparently this is not paying off for him as his endorsements slid 6.6 percent in 2007 from endorsers like Pepsi, Addidas, and Gilette. Now the team is loaning him out to AC Milan for three months. There is a rumor that this could lead to a trade with the Italian club. Considering the LA Galaxy have been playing horrible lately and not improving Beckham’s image, I’m sure he would want to be
Rattle Me Bones 10K - 2008
Any race that serves cookies in the post-runner area is ok by me. Those lovely great big chocolate coconut jobbies that no one seems to love but me. Love it. This is the third time I've run this 10K. I work for the hospital so it seems to be a given that I'll run it. It's a 10K during a good time of year. And well, cookies. The good cookies I can't seem to resist during the events with food. The course seems to have a nasty incline at the end -- kills me every time although it didnt' seem so b

UFC 90: Deep-Dish, Chicago-Style Liveblog
(As a Brazilian might say, Patrick is about to get haped. Photo courtesy of UFC.com.) Last week, I sent a letter to Dana White asking if the UFC’s tired old gladiator intro could be replaced with this for tonight’s broadcast. So, fingers crossed. Anyway, we’re about to witness the beginning of the end of Anderson Silva’s career (and possibly Cote’s, depending on how badly he gets injured tonight), a potential fight-of-the-night between the Pitbull vs. the Koscheck, a heavyweight feature that

Hepa-load
I know you Carbo-load the night before the race. But what I wanna to ask you, do you HEPA-LOAD? The importance of Hepa-loading cannot be underestimated, but unfortunately almost all runners don’t practice it. I want to introduce to you the latest training for runners it is called HEPA-LOADING. As we all know the water served during races in the Philippines are often from big, rusty and old water tanks with dirty rubber hoses. Seldom do we see water stations with clean, filtered and potable wat
The Grumpy Cheerleader
I had dreamed when I signed Hunter up for soccer of me and Ella sitting on the sidelines and her being Hunter's biggest fan/cheerleader. HA HA HA HA!!! That is not the way it is going at all. She HATES sitting in her stroller, so when I finally give in and get her out she tries with all her might to squirm out of my arms (she may have low tone, but holy cow that girl is strong!!!) She cries, whines, and screams. I have a very brief moment of quiet from her while she eats her fruit chews that I b
Weekly Roundup #16
October 7 The little girl and I went to the mall. We got a notice that there will be some power interruption in the afternoon so I opted for us to go somewhere instead of staying at home with no a/c in the afternoon. October 11 The three of us went to the mall to shop for the little girl’s birthday. It was a great family day and we were out for the most part of the day. We went to Vivo City and had lunch at Superdog, hubby was in the mood for some good ‘ol fashion hotdog so it was the b
Jeremy Scott designs for Adidas
Jeremy Scott is teaming up with Adidas to design an exclusive collection. Although the details are being kept on the down low, it is known that the line will feature clothes and footwear and is set to hit stores in February 2009. Now, Jeremy is best known for his outrageous designs, ie: fake sur coats embellished with dollar signs…, Mickey mouse ears, etc…So I think the Addidas/Jeremy Scott partnership will be a bit more quirky than say, the ‘original’ addidas and Stella McCartney collaborati
