Respect, it’s a thing of the past

Respect is something that has been lost on people and it is getting to the point where respect will soon be extinct, at least in Amercia.
There is a new cartoon television show about our current President. Like him or not, this is not good. It is one thing to have free speech, it is entirely different to be disrespectful of your leaders and country in a manner that makes the world look at us as a democracy run amuck.
And we wonder why the rest of the world no longer respects us, we do not respect ourselves.
If you’re new here, you [...]

Explore the ideas of Liberty

Explore the ideas of Liberty October 12th, 2008 by Richard Jackson Through the Young Britons’ Foundation CF members have the opportunity to travel across Amercia and study the political system there - I did it over the summer and it was a great experience (photo shows us at the YAF conference in Washington). Another organisation that is offering seminars is the Institute for Humane Studies. They run free seminars every summer and also offer housing, meals and books - all you pay for is tr

Palin V Obama : Compare and contrast as the dirty Democrats get away scot free

I've just been watching the news, and TV1 reported that Sarah Palin had been found guilty of 'abuse of power' concerning Troopergate.Sounds terrible, I admit. And what's worse, she's been cleared by the Republicans of wrong doing, so doesn't that make the GOP accomplices to it all? Oh, how sweet and innocent the Democrats must be by comparison, along with that saintly Barack Obama. In reality, however, as noted by Aussie blogger Andrew Bolt, the story is not as bad as it sounds, not that the MSM

Defections and hires: Merrill Lynch fights brain drain

Merrill Lynch & Co., coaxed into a overnight acquisition by Bank of America Corp. for $50 billion in stock, has been both losing and hiring top bankers. While Alberto Cribiore may have been the biggest name to depart, The Deal has learned about 41 bankers who used the door at Merrill just in the past month. As you'll see from the company's poaching, it's anyone's game....

How Sarah Palin Lost the Election…

How Sarah Palin Lost the Election… October 9th, 2008 …And America Was Saved from a Book About the Ordeal will more than likely be the title of a magazine article or two this week. Turns out an agent jumped the gun and shopped a non-fiction manuscript presuming that scenario (see Leon Neyfakh’s New York Observer “Media Mob” column, below). I guess the agent hasn’t seen the latest polls. Or lives in an Alternate Universe, where that nightmare has occurred. On second thought, perhaps they sh

President

I am more concerned about gas prices. My concern is if you become president will you lower the gas prices. Many people in Amercia are struggling, trying to get from one place to another. When hurricane Ike hit Texas and the other states there was a lot of confusion. In Tennessee the prices were going up the roof. The highest price I came up to was five dollars. The worst I came up to was that the gas station had no gas in them, and many people such as my self had to drive on the other side of t

Is Russia Socialistic or Capitalistic?

Is Russia Socialistic or Capitalistic? It appears that the country has taken a fatal direction since 1991 break up of the Soviet Union. How can a country based on communistic principles and the good of socialisme just turn capitalistic? How can the country stake out its new course and what are the consequences for such shortsighted capitalistic direction? Where are the old 5-year plans under Soviet rule that at least provided some long term goals? Russia appears to just be taking a direction int

Antonio's swindle: Desperate mayor claims credit for 24-year-old traffic signal program

Forget the collapse of Amercia's banking industry and the horrible train collision in Chatsworth, forget everything and suffer amnesia with Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa who is descending into the bowels of City Hall East today to show off for the TV cameras and the assembled members of media his latest achievement. Dailynews.com reports today "'Operation Bottleneck Relief Phase IV" will use variable green light intervals and other traffic signal tweaks to improve traffic flow at an additional 60

The New Yok Surf Film Festival

Surf themed film festivals are popping up all over surfdom recently - the most recent arrival being the New York Surf Film Festival. The festival will take place at the Tribeca Cinemas in Lower Manhattan from September 26-28. It would seem that the surge in film festivals is paralleled to surfing’s increased public growth. However, this may not necessarily be the case. Unlike the commercial agenda driven editorial direction of most of the surf print and “video” media, the festivals feature mor
