ACLU Christian

Ok, there are 2 key facts I know about me. I am a Christian, and I am a software programmer. So I have to put things into a perspective I can understand, and this assignement must be true.
ACLU Christian
Based on this….

Judge says Ten Commandments can stay: “The American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio sued Lucas County in 2002 to have the display removed, saying it was unconstitutional and promoted religion.”
If you are willing to sue because something “promoted religion” it only proves the fact that you can not be a member of the ACLU and a Christian. The great [...]

Obama economic plan aims for 2.5M new jobs by 2011

Obama economic plan aims for 2.5M new jobs by 2011 WASHINGTON – President-elect Barack Obama promoted an economic plan Saturday he said would create 2.5 million jobs by rebuilding roads and bridges and modernizing schools while developing alternative energy sources and more efficient cars. "These aren't just steps to pull ourselves out of this immediate crisis. These are the long-term investments in our economic future that have been ignored for far too long," Obama said in the weekly Democr

Officials: Dems plan quick 2009 start on bills

Randomness - Thanksgiving Style

Just in Time for Thanksgiving - It was clearly a deadly case of  tryptophan poisoning. There were no survivors. In the Spirit of the Holidays - Immediately following the interview, Governor Palin abruptly revoked the pardon. PETA Will Hear About This! - Frank decided on the dish to shock the vegans who showed up at the dinner party. Climb Ev-ry Mount-aaaain… - Some men have a dream, others just sit on it. Pissed Off Plattsburgh - I love the smell of urine in the morning. Shake It Up Baby

My head, she asplode

Jaja, nu kunnen we erom lachen, maar met wat meer pech was dit de manier waarop de vice-president van de Verenigde Amerikaanse Staten zich zou uitgedrukt hebben: BLITZER: Another question. What are your new ideas on how to take the Republican Party out of this rut that it’s in right now? Give me one or two new ideas that you’re going to propose to these governors who have gathered here in this hotel. PALIN: Well, a lot of Republican governors have really good ideas for our nation because we’

Obama’s Win a Nightmare for al Qaeda

November 4 was a day in which two organizations, which have a lot in common, both lost big: the Republican Party and al Qaeda. Both organizations support restrictions on individual liberty and imposing fundamentalist religious views on others. Both depended upon each other. The Republicans would have been thrown out of office a few years earlier if not for capitalizing on fear of terrorism, and al Qaeda would be in far worse shape if not for the foreign policies of George Bush. The Republicans

Frame 312

Forty-five years ago today, President John F. Kennedy was shot and killed by assassins while riding in his motorcade through downtown Dallas, Texas. Say what you want about Kennedy - and trust us, we’ve read the good (William Manchester) and the bad (Seymour M. Hersh) - but his assassination was a transcendent event that forever changed the course of American history. It was also captured on film by a Dallas clothing manufacturer named Abraham Zapruder, who took his Model 414 PD Bell &

If you're headed to America: We Love Having You Here don't miss the slideshow in the back... it's the best one I've ever made. 300 photos and running 34 minutes until it loops... there's 120 new photos since the last configuration. It includes the above photo that I made earlier today. I try to structure the slideshow so I can include one last minute photo and this was the perfect moment that I was looking for... it's looking down on the WTC site at "ground zero."

Barack Obama’s Two Year Plan

In his radio/You Tube address today, Barack Obama announced what I’m sure some pundit somewhere will call a New Deal-style plan to revive the economy: CHICAGO — President-elect Barack Obama said Saturday that he had started work on a sustained, two-year economic stimulus plan designed to create or save 2.5 million jobs, funnel money toward public works programs to repair the country’s failing infrastructure and invest in alternative energy programs. Mr. Obama’s plan, which he announced in the

ENTHUSIASM IN COLUMBUS

It so happened this Michigan week that another team in town, the Columbus Crew, was preparing for the biggest title soccer has to offer in North America, the MLS Cup championship, to be played Sunday in Carson, Calif., and carried by a major network to an international television audience. So, here was Ohio State-Michigan, The Game, and here was the Crew, readying for the New York Red Bulls and a shot at the title. In the middle was Blue Jackets coach Ken Hitchcock, who was thinking, “win, w

Finally, An Obama Pick I DON'T Like

That'd be his likely AG pick, Eric Holder. He's, in my judgement, already corrupt on power. He has a record of supporting IMHO unreasonable crackdowns for questonable reasons. One is his like of the escalating drug penalties beyond reason, despite the fact that all it's done is raise enforcement/jail costs and bring back '30s-style gangs here and Latin America; the cost of drugs hasn't budged, nor have reported drugs rates gone down. The other is his idea that we should censor the Internet,

Jeff Cooper, Letter from LA

I am writing from the Hyatt Regency Century City in Los Angeles, where I will be through Monday to attend league meetings for Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) and everything related to MLS Cup, which will be played Sunday at Home Depot Center between Columbus and New York. While I am always firm in my stance that St. Louis is the soccer capital of North America, this week I’d have to say all the action is right here. More after the jump… (more…)

A Gitmo Commission?

By Cernig According to the HuffPo and Newsweek today, Obama is considering a middle course between straight-out investigating the need for prosecutions for war crimes and just letting the Bush administration's torturers skate. one idea that has currency among some top Obama advisers is setting up a 9/11-style commission that would investigate counterterrorism policies and make public as many details as possible." "At a minimum, the American people have to be able to see and judge what happ

Sister Of Newt Gingrich Calls Him A “Hater”

Dear Newt, I recently had the displeasure of watching you bash the protestors of the Prop 8 marriage ban to Bill O’Reilly on FOX News. I must say, after years of watching you build your career by stirring up the fears and prejudices of the far right, I feel compelled to use the words of your idol, Ronald Reagan, “There you go, again.” However, I realize that you may have been a little preoccupied lately with planning your resurrection as the savior of your party, so I thought I would fill y

Finally, Others Are Noticing The Damage Done By The “Jesus Freak” Element Of The Right

You know the ones I’m talking about.  The ones who will literally scream in your face that your going to hell if you haven’t accepted Christ into your life and who believe Jesus roamed the forest for forty days and nights riding a T-Rex.  Religion does not belong in politics and politics doesn’t belong in church. Heresies and other truths Kathleen Parker Here’s the deal, ‘pubbies: Howard Dean was right. It isn’t that culture doesn’t matter. It does. But preaching to the choir produces

Girls Soccer: Two champions have been decided

Ramapo defeated Freehold Boro, 3-1, to win the State Group 3 title in te first of four games at The College of New Jersey. I don't have much as far as details go, but Brooke Bandazian scored a pair of goals and Kellie Wiederhold add the other one for the Green Raiders. Ramapo scored all of its goals in the second half after falling behind, 1-0, in the first half. The wind has been a huge factor, with every goal having been scored on the same side of the field. The win means that Amy Van Dyk wa
