Brett Favre Retires
After 17 years Brett Favre retires, no really. I hate to say it, but the first thing that comes to my mind is that I am old. I clearly remember when Brett Favre came into the NFL as an Atlanta Falcon. And think about that, after one year in Atlanta they traded Brett Favre to the Green Bay Packers for a 17th round pick, can you say OOPS.
Being a Dallas Cowboy fan it is pretty obvious that I am not a Green Bay Packer fan, however, if there is one guy I really respect in Pro sports, it is Brett [...]

Week 1 Preview: New York Jets at Miami
When the 08 schedule came out and opening week saw the Jets flying to Miami in week one to play the Dolphins, not many thought anything of it. What can change in four months. Now on Sunday at Dolphin Stadium, the matchup between the Fins and Jets have about as many interesting storylines as any in the league, mostly surrounding two QB’s that have changed zip codes. The Brett Favre era in New York starts. Named an offensive captain earlier in the week, Favre runs the show for an offense that
NFL Preview - N.Y. Jets (0-0) at Miami (0-0)
Pity the poor Jets-Dolphins football writer this week. For instead of having a game chock full of clear storylines involving season- ending injuries, impact first-round draft choices or returning Super Bowl MVPs, those authors assigned to pen the tale of “New York vs. Miami, Episode 86″ on Sunday are instead left to grasp at myriad meaningless straws. Oh sure, there’s the Brett Favre thing. And yeah, there’s the Chad Pennington thing. And right, there’s the Bill Parcells thing…and even a

What they’re saying
What they’re saying September 4 There are a lot of story lines this week surrounding the Jets Miami game. Here are some interesting things being said during the buildup. I think it’s a strange link that Chad Pennington’s first game was in Green Bay. And the first day Brett Favre arrived in New York he mentioned that Pennington had a perfect record against him. Enjoy…. Miami coach Tony Sparano on Dustin Keller: “I think he is a threat and I think that he’s an interesting guy because the mor
Fins: Marino interviewing Favre
I'm not really sure what needs to be answered at this point, but Dan Marino apparently is conducting an interview with Brett Favre that will air before Sunday's game. Let's say you are Marino. What do you ask?
The Contrarian: A Few Reasons Not to Be Excited for the NFL’s Debut
Today is the start of the NFL season. It is probably difficult to tell, because Mark Schlereth and Todd McShay have been yelling at you since mid-May, because Brett Favre is the biggest thing to hit New York City ever, and because Aaron Rodgers has already gone from promising to bust. But, the “ELECTRIC ATMOSPHERE” is finally here. “Is it Monday Yet?!?” In the interests of “fair and balanced” news analysis, here are a few reasons not to be excited for the oncoming NFL onslaught: Eleven Min
