New Millennium Business Plan
This cartoon is probably a lot more realistic than we realize. There are a lot of companies and sites being built for the purpose of cashing in on the big sale. And when companies like YouTube come along and are only out there for 18 months before being bought up for $1.6 BILLION dollars, it seems to give a lot of incentive to try something a little out there on the cutting edge.

Chicken stalls cry foul over plan to shut them down
Chicken stalls cry foul over plan to shut them down Sellers and buyers of live and freshly slaughtered chickens are objecting to the city's plan to close 1,200 chicken stalls by 2010 because of concerns about avian flu. Syaiful, a chicken butcher in Tanah Abang market, Central Jakarta, said if his business ...
What now for the US auto industry? Will we soon be driving Chinese cars?
Was it the previous $50 billion that Congress provided for the auto industry, the overindulgence of the corporate officers flying in private jets while auto jobs and pensions are on the line, or their arrogance during the hearings? For some reason Congress and the American people don't seem in the mood to be charitable to either the companies or the unions, at least until the auto execs come up with a business plan that makes sense, one that would include concessions to made by all. What will
Saving the auto industry from itself
Chevrolet once marketed itself as the “heartbeat of America.” Today, the heartbeat of the American auto industry is weak — but at least it still has a pulse. On Thursday, Congress decided to wait before voting on whether to provide cash-strapped U.S. automakers with another $25 billion to tide them over. But the congressional leadership also said the House and Senate will reconvene in early December to consider more fully a bailout that may yet save the auto industry. There is a catch: Genera
Bloomberg.com: Worldwide - Sent Using Google Toolbar
Bloomberg.com: Worldwide - Sent Using Google Toolbar The Democrats are wanting the Big 3 to give them a plan or no dough. This is brought to you by the very people who created the sub prime crisis through their laws to give everyone the "American Dream". This my friends is also a foreboding of changes to come as the power grabbers move to nationalize everything they can get their greedy hands on. If these same people gave each man, woman, and child $100,000.00 (which would equal the total
Stuff You Probably Missed
Like most blogs, this one has gone through a bunch of changes since the first post, which was pretty lame; heck, most people’s first posts are pretty lame. My writing style has definitely changed, but it also changed with my business blog. I tend to believe that, as writers and bloggers, we’re allowed to go through style changes, because when we’re true to ourselves, our readers can feel it. I have some interesting plans for this blog. Some of the things you see on the sides are changing, or h
Ebay Wholesale Business – How To Start An Ebay Home Business
More and more people are thinking of making the online leap and set up a business of their own online. One of the best alternative is to start an Ebay home based business. Of course, if you plan to sell stuff on eBay, you can gain more profit if you sell wholesale or dropship items and stuff you find in your garage. There are many products that you can buy wholesale from articles of clothing to newly released gadgets and then sell these items on eBay. But many people who are just starting a
Party Like it's 1999, Part One
A few weeks ago I posted an account of my first night out after Oscar was born, and how it didn't go according to plan. I got a lot of sympathy for that post, for which I was grateful, but felt a bit of a fraud. Because by that time I'd already had another night out, a specific attempt to rectify the original disaster, and Night Out Mk II was a raging success. And I've finally got around to writing about it. Which I have to, because I was Official Scribe for the night. I have this habit, see, o
Yoga Will Now Be Tax-Free in Washington State As Well As Fashionable
Yoga Will Now Be Tax-Free in Washington State As Well As Fashionable Posted today at 6:35 pm by Mark Fefer (Photo of Russell Simmons via PerezHilton.com, natch) Earlier this month, a great cry of anguish went up among the otherwise tranquil and impassive practitioners of yoga, when they learned that the State Department of Revenue was going to start levying a sales tax on yoga classes. Can you imagine? Putting a sales tax on yoga—as if it were just something you consumed, rather than someth

By directly selling products while creating your own upline downline, you can work your MLM business opportunity part-time, from home, and at your own hours. Even with all the potential for making money, you should decide, though if an MLM is for you. NOVEGRO SWAP MEET, MILAN, 2008
By Vicki Smith [I mentioned Vicki in my writeup of the Motogiro America event last July; she works for Ducati North America, and was the first woman to ride the Italian 'Giro. She sent me these photos from her Ducati website - pd'o] In Italy it seems like there is always a swap meet somewhere. They pop up in town squares and out in fields like the sunflowers that seem to grow everywhere. But the really big ones are something to see, acres and acres of moto "stuff" some so rare you never though
News 11/21/08
From Wayne Twitchell: "Re: Boston Globe article. If you’re charged with something serious like manslaughter, do you get the local city/town lawyer to defend you, or do you go into one of the big city firms who have a lot of resources and do a lot of extra things (pro bono work, research, etc.) that a small local firm can’t do? I go with the big city firm. The defense and the outcome could be the same, but it’s my life we’re talking about. Granted, the national (or local) healthcare situation is

Is Green Home Building a Possibility for You?
Is Green Home Building a Possibility for You? Some areas of the country are more aware of green home building techniques than others. If you live in an area where the builders don`t understand what you mean by green home building, it`s time to look at your options. Probably the best way to go is with a modular home. Modular homes utilize the latest in green home building techniques and are factory built, a fact that makes them greener and safer than most site built homes. That also means th

The Liberty Tree
Defend Liberty An Allegory to Liberty Do you remember The Liberty Tree and the story that surrounds it? There was an old elm tree that stood in Boston Commons in the days before the American Revolution. It was a beautiful old tree that became a real rallying point – a symbol really - for the growing resistance to the rule of England over the feisty American colonies. Called ‘The Liberty Tree,’ it was often decorated with banners and lanterns by ‘the resisters’ and used in communicating their
More Evidence of TARP Error
Day after day we get continued evidence of a major policy mistake that is costly for the average investor with a retirement account. The Bush Administration, led by Hank Paulson, stepped in when faced with a crisis. It was courageous and correct, even if the plan was a bit sketchy. When they finally got Congressional approval it included both additional powers and additional oversight. Paulson used the additional powers to make direct investments in financial firms, something that many top

By Josh Guerrieri Now, more than ever parents are becoming concerned about the fitness of their kids. This is no secret given the problems of childhood obesity and the increasing weight and lack of fitness that we are seeing in children. Child obesity and diabetes levels are rising dramatically.
