Christmas Tree Sales
Over the last few years it has been reported that live Christmas Trees Sales continue to decline, while artificial Christmas Tree sales are growing.
There are probably a lot of reasons for this including the time it takes to shop for a tree and the ability to haul it. Plus as with almost everything else, online Christmas tree sales are sure to make it easier. Why run around town fighting the Christmas tree sales when you can have a Christmas Tree delivered to your door.
And just think, it may be the last Christmas Tree you ever have to buy.
If you’re new [...]

Stones
Last night, I decided that I would get up early in the morning and go to the cemetery. I wanted to have a prayer or two, while visiting my uncle David's grave. I was especially anxious to get there because, I haven't visited since his head stone was placed on his grave site. As it turns out, I didn't make it out of the house alone. ; ) My 13 year old son, tagged along. : ) We stood over David's grave, silent. His stone was beautiful! But it was also, extremely, real. This stone held some s
Bryant Park: A Stunning Urban Garden
Bryant Park, a 9 plus acre parcel of land, sits in mid-town Manhattan, blending in so well with the hustle and bustle of the city that it practically goes unnoticed, unless one is familiar with it or just happens to stumble onto it. It is located at 42nd and 6th, with the Bank of America skyscraper directly across from it and the New York Public Library on its grounds. What makes Bryant Park such a jewel is that feels like a Parisian park transported smack in the middle of traffic jammed, gri
Missing My Family In The Philippines This Christmas Day
Missing My Family In The Philippines This Christmas Day Come Christmas day is my second year celebration far away from my family in the Philippines. It gives me teary eyes whenever I think of it. I miss my family back home. But for now, I am helpless. All I can do is hope and pray that they will have a good holiday season without me and Amber. I always think, how would it be like if I did not come over to the US and stayed with them. There are a lot of things that I want to tell my parents, a
THE ONION AND THE CHRISTMAS TREE
via email THE ONION AND THE CHRISTMAS TREE The family is sitting at the dinner table. The son asks his father, 'Dad, how many kinds of boobies are there?' The father, surprised, answers, 'Well son, there's three kinds of breasts. In her twenties, a woman's breasts are like melons, round & firm. In her thirties & forties, they are like pears, still nice, but hanging a bit. After fifty, they are like onions.' 'Onions?' 'Yes, you see them, and they make you cry.' This infuriated his wif

TRIMMIMGS ARE UP
Although these shots need LOTS of work, I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I am that I was able to take these images last night in the dark while in our great room. The only lights in the house that were on were the lights above our fireplace as well as the tree lights themselves. I ran a quick test with "Razzi" on "Auto mode" (remember the "stupid friend" my photo instructor described? Yeah, that's auto mode.) Well, when I did the run thru on "auto mode," the whole room lit up like
New Furniture Catalog and Stage
I’d like start with the pin, which is not mentioned in the title. The Snowflake Tile Pin is located at the Beach. The new play at the Stage is alright, but the Costume Catalog takes the cake! In this historic moment, well, historic in my mind anyway, I’d like to announce the return of the one and only… RED CAPE! I am soooo excited. Even if you aren’t obsessed with capes (LOL), it is a pretty old and rare item, consider its last (and maybe onl - I really don’t know) was in 2006 and that it
The Week in Gossip: Who’s Too Sexy for This Post?
Because the American public can’t possibly judge for itself, the major mags go out of their way every year to tell us who the sexiest man on the planet is. And no, it’s not a matter of opinion. It’s not a result of any Gallup polls or any real research into the amount of sex any of these contenders have—or could have. It’s a matter of simple fact. Certifiable, scientific fact . . . which is why every news source names a different winner: Hugh Jackman has People mag wrapped around his little

Holiday shoppers dreaming of snow can find snow falling inside, yes…inside, Tysons Galleria shopping mall in Tysons Corner, Virginia, every day through Christmas Eve. In one of the areas “coolest” promotions to attract shoppers, from November 22 until Christmas Eve, “snow” will actually fall from the ceiling, inside the upscale shopping and dining mall. Tree Classics
A few years ago, not long after we got married, it was getting close to Christmas — the first Christmas we’d spent together. We set out one Saturday morning in Indianapolis to find a Christmas tree. We both have allergies, so a real tree was out of the question. An artificial tree it is. We went to the mall. We went to Sears, to Target, and to any number of other places that I’m sure I’m forgetting. We saw trees that spun, trees that had red needles, trees with fiber optics in them, trees with
Books on Breech Birth
I just found the book I would like for Christmas after reading one of my favorite blogs, The True Face of Birth. In a recent entry, Rixa reviews two books on breech birth. I am going to take her up on her recommendation to buy Breech Birth by Benna Waites as the better choice if you have to pick one. I am hoping I will find this book under the Christmas tree (just emailed my mom), yippee! A couple of years ago a midwife I know mentioned that she always suggests midwifery books that she woul
Stalking Stuffer
I was going to lay off -- I swear. I figured I'd milked the "CNNfan" meme for all it was worth and therefore it was time to put it to bed and move on before the whole thing got stale. Then came this comment, left at my friend and fellow ex-CNNer Jacki Schechner's site: "A CNNfan Christmas Wish lyrics: CNNfans love CNN Internet Reporter Jacki But Jacki Schechner's gone from CNN TV Sadly as far as we, CNNfans can see. We don't know just who to blame for this Catastrophe ! But our one CNNf

Snow
Today it snowed outside! Magnificent! Unfortunially the snow melted immediately when it touched the streets. Ofcourse me & Peem went for a winterwalk, the best part is coming home again & make yourself a cup of tea. My sister made a chocolate-banana cake for me (everybody knows I love the bananana). And St. Nicolas the holy saint sailed trough our garden in his colorful decorated boat. :p Like every year he waved to us, i just love the man :D. Such a cozy, beautiful day. Look at what my
