Christmas Tree Sales
Over the last few years it has been reported that live Christmas Trees Sales continue to decline, while artificial Christmas Tree sales are growing.
There are probably a lot of reasons for this including the time it takes to shop for a tree and the ability to haul it. Plus as with almost everything else, online Christmas tree sales are sure to make it easier. Why run around town fighting the Christmas tree sales when you can have a Christmas Tree delivered to your door.
And just think, it may be the last Christmas Tree you ever have to buy.

Fun Stocking Stuffers
One of the fun things to do in the Christmas Shopping frenzy is to find Fun Stocking Stuffers.
It can be a little bit of a challenge depending on the person, but it is always fun to try and find small, inexpensive stocking stuffers. Of course, online shopping has made this a lot easier, but the real fun is shopping the old fashion way for these items.
The rest of the Year
Well I made it through Christmas. My Dad came from Florida and spent a couple days with us on his way to Texas. Always good to have him with us. I always realize how much like him I truly am. Like looking in a mirror.
I am working 2 days this week and then I will be off until next Tues. I would like to think I will relax and work on some of my pet projects, but, I am sure the “Honey Do’s” will capture a lot of my time.
Just a few of my computer projects I have going.
I am [...]
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas. Of course anyone who knows me, knows what a scrooge I appear to be. I would say it’s not really Christmas that gets me, it’s what we’ve turned it into. Christmas was and is a celebration of the birth of Christ. Hence the spelling of CHRISTmas.
I always think of Christmas as a time to reflect on what I have to be thankful for, not, how many presents are under a tree.

Coming to the end
I can’t believe that there’s less than a week until Thanksgiving. The plan for us is to go with Mark’s family out to Illinois and have dinner with his grandma’s (his mom’s stepmom) side of the family. I’m excited about it, as usual, and hope the weather stays nice. I think we’re going about halfway on Friday, staying in a hotel, having dinner early Saturday and then coming home. That’s how it sounds anyway. I wouldn’t mind staying Saturday night, going to church with Mark’s grandma and fam
Missing My Family In The Philippines This Christmas Day
Missing My Family In The Philippines This Christmas Day Come Christmas day is my second year celebration far away from my family in the Philippines. It gives me teary eyes whenever I think of it. I miss my family back home. But for now, I am helpless. All I can do is hope and pray that they will have a good holiday season without me and Amber. I always think, how would it be like if I did not come over to the US and stayed with them. There are a lot of things that I want to tell my parents, a
Book Review: Over By Christmas by William Daysh
Over By Christmas juxtaposes the politics, the history, and the experience of naval war and the reality of living a life through the turmoil. Over By Christmas by William Daysh is a war novel. It is also a superb novel in which real events, imagined histories, human relationships, and politics intertwine. These elements are combined via a beautifully paced narrative whose use of multiple forms only adds to its clarity. While naval battles of the first half of World War One are described,...

via email 2008’s First Christmas Joke Three men died on Christmas Eve and were met by Saint Peter at the pearly gates. “In honor of this holy season” Saint Peter said, “You must each possess something that symbolizes Christmas to get into heaven.” The first man fumbled through his pockets and pulled out a lighter. He flicked it on. “It represents a candle”, he said. “You may pass through the pearly gates” Saint Peter said. The second man reached into his pocket and pulled out a set

THE ONION AND THE CHRISTMAS TREE
via email THE ONION AND THE CHRISTMAS TREE The family is sitting at the dinner table. The son asks his father, 'Dad, how many kinds of boobies are there?' The father, surprised, answers, 'Well son, there's three kinds of breasts. In her twenties, a woman's breasts are like melons, round & firm. In her thirties & forties, they are like pears, still nice, but hanging a bit. After fifty, they are like onions.' 'Onions?' 'Yes, you see them, and they make you cry.' This infuriated his wif
The forgotten Whistle Blower who saved Jews from Hitler
Rafael Medoff, Jewish Press, August 20 2008 How did a 30-year-old attorney in the U.S. Treasury Department, a Protestant with no particular interest in Jewish affairs, come to play a central role in the rescue of more than 200,000 Jews from the Holocaust? Why was his heroism for so many years omitted from most Holocaust-related museums and history books? Why is he to this day virtually unknown to the American public? These are some of the questions that confronted me as I worked on the ma
Advent bags
I saw this idea last year and thought it would be a fun Christmas tradition to start around here. The only problem was that I saw it about 5 days before Christmas, which was far too late to implement it in any deserving fashion - so this is the year. And I am even doing an early post in case anyone has been looking for a new Christmas tradition that they would like to put together more than 5 days before Christmas. You're welcome:):):). I bought 20 of these bags at Hobby Lobby for about two d

TRIMMIMGS ARE UP
Although these shots need LOTS of work, I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I am that I was able to take these images last night in the dark while in our great room. The only lights in the house that were on were the lights above our fireplace as well as the tree lights themselves. I ran a quick test with "Razzi" on "Auto mode" (remember the "stupid friend" my photo instructor described? Yeah, that's auto mode.) Well, when I did the run thru on "auto mode," the whole room lit up like
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
Hey everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful week so far. Here in South Florida, it's beginnign to "feel' a lot like Christmas becuase we've been enjoying a full week of below normal temperatures. I'm talking like highs not even reaching 70 and lows in the 40's. That's not typical for Florida this time of year and I'm loving it! I hope it lasts. ;) And at Cupcards {to go}, the November card kit was filled with ALL things Christmas. :) I love this time of year so much and it was so fun
Christmas Card FAIL *Bloggy Carnival*
I attempted the impossible. I tried to take a cute picture of my girls for the annual Christmas card. As in BOTH of the looking at the camera (with a smile on their face), at the same time, in unison. I did everything I knew possible to make this a fun and happy time. I filled their little bellies, I washed their hair, put some cute "holiday" clothes on them, threw on some kids music, and even bribed them with suckers. What else was a Mom to do? Anyway, the little photo shoot did not go as

The Tablecloth ~ Who Says God does not work in mysterious ways?
This story came across my email this past week and I thought it was a beautiful way to start the Thanksgiving / Christmas Holiday spirit so I thought I'd share. So much more than calling the day after Thanksgiving, Black Friday. I always thought that such a dark negative term for the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. This is such a beautiful story that makes you understand that things truly do happen for a reason. The brand new pastor and his wife, newly assigned to their first m
