Clinton Portis dislocates shoulder

In the first preseason game of the year for the Washington Redskins, Clinton Portis dislocated his shoulder attempting a tackle on a Mark Brunell pass that had been intercepted.An MRI has already confirmed the injury and now it will be a waiting game to see how bad the injury is and how long the rehab will take.The Cincinnati Bengals went on to win the game.

Ravens OT Anderson hopes to face Bengals (AP)


After signing his three-year, $11 million contract with the Baltimore Ravens on Friday, offensive tackle Willie Anderson hopes to play in Sunday’s season opener against the team that cut him. The 6-foot-5, 340-pound former Cincinnati Bengals team captain isn’t expected to start immediately at right tackle, where Adam Terry is atop the depth chart.

NFL approves Chad Johnson name change


Teaser: New York -- The NFL has approved the official name change of Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson to Chad Ocho Cinco. Story: The approval, made Thursday, means Johnson will wear the name on the back of his uniform during the Bengals season-opener Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.
