Assimilation ?

We are losing ground fast, we have so little respect for this great nation that we now have people who support anyone rewriting the National Anthem. And some of our leaders, conservative and liberal alike have lost perspective on the issues. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is a great example of someone who should pay closer attention to the details of the country she is SERVING ! Instead she just spits out the same tripe responses we have come to expect out of politicians.
“From my point of view, people expressing themselves as wanting to be Americans is a good thing,” [...]

This was Rev. Al’s response to the following question: “Rev. Al Sharpton, Do you believe that political leaders such as Condoleezza Rice and Colin Powell are viewed as “house negroes” by other African Americans, by going along with the President against their beliefs?” This is Rev. Black Republicans Petition Hussein Obama For An Apology

If only one black Obama supporter reads this and learns a little about the racism of the democrat party, then I’ve accomplished my mission and can take the rest of the day off. OBAMA, CAN YOU SPARE BLACKS A PROCLAMATION? The National Black Republican Association has issued a petition to Barack Hussein Obama, the leader of the Democratic Party, requesting that Obama issue a formal proclamation of apology for the Democratic Party’s 150-year history of racism. Quote Of The Day: An American Abroad’s Awe Of Post-Election America

Quote Of The Day: An American Abroad’s Awe Of Post-Election America November 22nd, 2008 By JOE GANDELMAN, Editor-In-Chief Our political Quote of the Day comes from author Carol Guild, who writes via Pajamas Media of her awe as she looks at post-election America from London: Over the past two weeks the outpouring of British newspaper, radio, and television punditry has been staggering in volume. Staggering in variety? No. One theme that seems to obsess British journalists has been a grim,

Libya has plan for democracy

Libya wants to open a new chapter in relations with the United States by investing some of its $100 billion sovereign wealth fund in U.S. companies and sending thousands of students to study in America, the son of Libya’s leader said Friday. In an interview, Seif al-Islam Gadhafi also outlined plans for Libya to move from the one-man rule of his father, Moammar Gadhafi, to a constitutional democracy as part of the country’s modernization process. The younger Gadhafi said he expects a const

Lame-duck US, Israeli leaders to meet a final time

JERUSALEM — Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert heads to Washington this week for his final meeting with President George W. Bush, two lame-duck leaders looking to leave a blueprint for fulfilling their ambitious — but unrealized — Mideast agendas. The three-day visit beginning Sunday will focus on Iran's nuclear program and progress in the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks launched by Bush last year. Bush invited Olmert to a White House meeting as part of his final round of talks with world lea

Add another ...General James Jones, prospective Obama National Security Adviser

HAARETZ, this year: The United States security coordinator for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, retired general James Jones, is preparing an extremely critical report of Israel's policies in the territories and its attitude toward the Palestinian Authority's security services. A few copies of the report's executive summary (or, according to some sources, a draft of it) have been given to senior Bush Administration officials, and it is reportedly arousing considerable discomfort. In recent we

TIME: Europe's Road Ahead - by Michael Elliott

For the complete report from TIME click on this link Europe's Road Ahead - by Michael Elliott If Obama is as wise as he seems, non-Americans will appreciate soon enough that he has just been elected President of the United States, not Secretary-General of the United Nations. For Europe's great and good, this will not be easy. Europeans love thinking about America, part in longing, part in envy, part in disdain. You could spend a nice year trotting from Ditchley Park in Oxfordshire to Salzburg, f

rosyb on Vulpes Libres does her nut about grammar: You see this is what annoys me so much about grammar freaks. They act as if language is rendered completely incomprehensible by the odd misplaced apostrophe or semi-colon. But the things they get their knickers in a twist about are very rarely anything to do with actual meaning. * After Iraq, it is clear that American military might is no longer a sufficient gateway to power. America has to work with its allies. That is one of the great less

Glenn Beck Gets Something Right

I don't agree very often with any of the people who host and contribute to FOX News, but that's not because of any hard and fast rule; it's just because of the things they say. Usually they feed you one lie wrapped in another, smothered by a third. But every now and then they accidentally allow a little bit of truth to slip into the mix, and that's when they get interesting. One interesting bit of accidental truth-telling was occasioned by Wednesday's release of yet another "al Qaeda" video,

Just when you think it’ll all finally change…

…you notice this headline on your Reds feed: Reds could bring back Weathers Considering that he did about as well in the closer spot a couple years back making $2.5 million as Cordero did this year pulling down $10 million, it may be a thrifty approach. Makes it hard not to roll your eyes, though. Same old Reds. No Adam Dunn next year, though, unless they sign him as a free agent. Boy, that would be a great move on his part, wouldn’t it? Out of the frying pan and back into the frying pan. Wh

Al-Qaeda #2 Calls Obama "House Negro"

For all the things that the al-Qaeda thugs could say about President-elect Obama (D) in their latest audio rambling, they choose to hit him with a racial epithet that I believe will only rally even more Americans around their new president. Seems like stupid messaging to me if they were hoping to drive a wedge: Al-Qaida's No. 2 leader used a racial epithet to insult Barack Obama in a message posted Wednesday, describing the president-elect in demeaning terms that imply he does the bidding of
