Top Television Shows
According to Lycos the following list is the Top 10 Television shows. I watch more TV since installing a DVR, simply because I can record and watch it when I have time instead of trying to fit into the Networks schedule. Only #8 & #9 are on my recorded list. I guess I am still a non mainstream viewer.
1. Grey’s Anatomy
2. CSI
3. Desperate Housewives
4. Dancing with the Stars
5. CSI: Miami
6. Lost
7. CSI: New York
8. Criminal Minds
9. Without a Trace
10. Ugly Betty

Diddy to Guest Star on CSI: Miami
I don’t really understand it myself, but of all the CSI shows out there, Miami is my favorite. I know it’s campy and the dialog is very often times meh and Horatio puts such an over-exaggerated bad ass persona that I should probably be laughing at times. Instead it continues to be one of my favorite guilty pleasures, and with guest stars being all the rage these days, it’s about time the show brought in someone interesting as well. From Lindsay Lohan appearing on Ugly Betty (and subsequently ge
Will ‘Heroes’ Rescue Itself with Web Series ‘Destiny’?
In an effort to hold on to dwindling fans and make sense of convoluted plot lines that have even the writers mystified, the makers of TV’s Heroes have yet again launched another web series, Heroes: Destiny, a self-described “micro series” that has emerged from the “Create Your Hero” interactive campaign last year. The extent of the interactive element comprised of fans selecting the characteristics of the new hero, such as name, special powers, personality and physical features, which were vo
HOW DO THEY FIGURE “SEXY”?
Photo: Stewart Shining on People Yesterday People magazine released their annual list of Sexiest Men Alive and named Australia’s Hugh Jackman as the cream of the crop. Amy was quick to point out that the list should correctly be named the Sexiest Male Celebrities Alive, and she’s absolutely right. After perusing the list, I decided that there is less than a handful of 2008’s picks I can agree with. 1. Hugh Jackman 2. Daniel Craig (Ack! He’s blonde!) 3. Jon Hamm (Uhhh…who?) 4. Zac Efron 5.

Book review: Landmark Status
Landmark Status by Alan H Rolnick As a former denizen of Miami in my mid-teens I rather enjoyed this romp through the seedy aspects of the city. Like Miami Vice and CSI Miami the book does a great job at capturing the vibe of the place both good and bad. The characters were well thought out and the [...]

What's On Tonight: UConn Women; Steve Martin on '30 Rock'
When Larry Rifkin is on CPTV it's usually as a spokesman during pledge times. Tonight, he'll be seen in a different light, as a drummer in a band of middle-aged rockers. The trend is nothing new: Those raised on rock finally find themselves with the money and time to fulfill their dreams by forming bands with their buddies. In Rifkin's case, he's joined with Haig Papasian of West Hartford, Steve Mendick of Hamden, Antony Casagrane of Wolcott to form Boom, which plays 60s oldies and a few orig
Horatio’s Ex’s Real Husband
On CSI: Miami, Horatio Caine’s ex is played by Elizabeth Berkley. But in real life, she is married to this good-looking man. His name is Greg Lauren. I think they make a beautiful couple, don’t you? This photo was taken of them at “A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to Cure Parkinsons” to benefit The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research. Wow! Good looking and supporting great causes too. [Photo: courtesy of newscom.com] Tags: A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to Cure Parkinsons,

conversation with mom
Pamie: ...And then I said, "Well, that sounds dangerous, so please don't tell me about it until it's over or I will worry about it from now until it's over." Mom: That's exactly what you should have said. Pamie: Which is how I knew I'd officially turned into you. I no longer want to hear about dangerous things people are doing until they're done doing them. I suddenly understand why the mom of the girl at the Olympics wouldn't even watch her compete. Used to think it was selfish; now believe
TV Patrol: Wednesday's "Guest Star" Night
"Criminal Minds" on CBS, tonight at 9pm, is always in the "Top Ten" ratings. They make their guest stars into homicidal manics. It works. Tonight is no exception. Jason Alexander plays a really deranged serial killer, who may just have some victims still alive. Do you think he made them lick envelopes? See who else has 'guest star' roles after we jump....... I predict that at the end of the episode, he will take home his marble loaf. Wasn't Aretha Franklin awesome on "DWTS" last night.
