Gasoline Prices

I know I am in trouble now. I got excited about paying $2.43 for a gallon of gas yesterday. That is down from around $2.80 just a couple of weeks ago.
Did someone convince the oil companies that they had enough profits or are they just teasing us?
$2.43 is still ridiculous, but, I am glad to see a little relief. Now if gasoline prices would drop some more I could afford to go to the grocery store.

Global Economy: US dollar rises amid fears of global slowdown

Pound took a massive beating as US dollar rose to a 37 year high. Global economy is facing a typical "ceiling effect". Quoting FT's technical analysis: With UK rates set to decline and US rates possibly rising, sterling only has further to fall. The spots were aimed at families to push a cushy banking product called home equity loans. What started out as a good idea for banks (who mak

Obama & McCain Trade Jabs On The Economy

First McCain’s ad, which once again uses the celebrity meme and opinions from newspaper editorials… Then Obama’s ad, which features McCain’s optimism about the economy contrasted with real people talking about struggling to make ends meet… I think this one goes to Obama. He’ll get a lot more traction from real people talking about real problems then McCain will get from leaning on a few select editorial boards talking gloom and doom about middle class tax cuts. What do you think?
