Van Halen Tour Cancelled?

Rumors are that the Van Halen tour is being canceled due to Eddie Van Halen having issues. What a shame, I really thought this tour might help Eddie, especially with his son Wolfgang playing bass. I know when I saw them back in the late eighties it was Michael Anthony and David Lee Roth who had the issues, but back then Eddie was still spot on.
Hopefully Eddie can get the help he needs. It always makes you wonder “what if”.
What if Eddie could pull himself out of his problems and finish his career in the way Eric Clapton has?
If you’re [...]

Golf Costa Adeje to welcome McCartney and Clapton?

Keen golfers in Tenerife have long appreciated the fantastic setting of the Golf Costa Adeje course, rolling fairways that run down to the sea, plus palm trees and old stone walls, make it the perfect venue for a big gathering. It looks like this December 6 could herald A Wonderful Christmas Time, as musical legend Paul McCartney performs a selection from his decades of songs. If that wasn’t tempting enough, talks are already underway to welcome Eric Clapton for another mega concert in April

Growing Up, Letting Go

Last night, Mr Mac took James to his first concert, Eric Clapton at the Zürich Hallenstadion. You may or may not remember, James has been itching to go to a rock concert since he discovered Blink 182 a couple of years ago. Since he'd bought the Best of Eric Clapton with his Christmas cash, we thought the Clapton concert in Zürich would be an excellent introduction to the joys of having your hearing dulled for a week after spending a couple of hours listening to live music at obscenely high decib

John Mayall's Bluesbreakers To Release Live DVD

British blues legend John Mayall has been leading one version or another of his influential Bluesbreakers band for over 40 years now. The 1980s Bluesbreakers version may well represent the band's best incarnation since Mayall made stars of guitarists Eric Clapton and Peter Green at the dawn of the '60s. Featuring twin guitarists Walter Trout and Coco Montoya, the line-up recorded two albums: 1985's Behind The Iron Curtain, a live recording of a show in Hungary, and 1988's studio effort, Chic

Darius Rucker Rocks His Own Roots

You can tell how cool a promotion is by who’s clamoring to enter. The Roots of Rock thing that MasterCard is doing is one such contest. If you win, you not only get to see Kenny Chesney (or Jon Bon Jovi or Eric Clapton) perform, but you get to meet him and see where he got his start. So, who wouldn’t want to enter? Darius Rucker wishes he could. But he’s a spokesperson for the sweepstakes, so that pretty much takes him out of the running. After selling more than 21 million albums as the frontm
