Dancing Flashbacks
All I needed was more reminders of my age!
Judson Laipply does an excellent job of taking us through The Evolution of Dance, and in the process gives me flashbacks for every song and dance that is represented in his routine.

Evolutions of Dance ! I met Judson Laipply in Las Vegas
At Blog World Expo I had the pleasure to meet Judson Laipply at the Zappos party at Blog World Expo in Las Vegas. He literally danced on a ledge at the Planet Hollywood. This is the best 6 minutes you will enjoy :
The evolution of the Evolution of Dance
First came Judson Laipply, whose Evolution of Dance clip was posted a couple of years ago, becoming one of YouTube's top all-time most-viewed videos. Naturally, that gave rise to media exposure, like an Oprah appearance. But you're never part of a true phenomenon till you've been sent up by a cartoon-like figure, in this case Optimus Prime: Of course, the whole thing boils down anywhere people gather to dance ... including newlyweds at weddings. (Things get funny at about 1:34.)

KazooKeylele: the next big viral video
KazooKeylele: the next big viral video by gordo It looks like this guy is destined to join an exclusive club, one that includes Judson Laipply and the Numa Numa Guy. He’s made a video that is becoming, inexplicably, wildly popular. Now, I don’t have a problem with people who gain tremendous popularity doing something that doesn’t seem especially difficult, creative, or entertaining. But I don’t think I’ll ever understand the phenomenon. At any rate, you saw it here first. Posted on Oc

Evolution of Dance — Remember These Moves?
Posted by Sarah Klein You’ve most likely seen the following dance moves at a social or wedding when your favourite uncle has pounded back a few too many wobbly pops and decided to hit the dance floor. All negative judgement aside, the evolution of dance has truly taken a turn since the early days. Dancing is an [...]
Evolution of Dance at Blog World Expo
http://www.miss604.com/2008/09/evolution-of-dance-at-blog-world-expo.html. On the opening night of Blog World Expo in Las Vegas, Zappos hosted a party at Prive (at Planet Hollywood). Half way through the evening Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh introduced Judson Laipply - the dude who is internet-famous for his YouTube “Evolution of Dance” performance that is almost at 100 million views. Judson, who was in town already for business as a motivational speaker and comedian, then treated us all to this ab
Stories from Saturday at Blog World Expo
I've now survived another day of Blog World Expo, so I'll share a few more observations to follow my first impressions. From the show: There's a mix of energy and torpor. People are very excited to be there, and many are finding enough energy to have fun at night. But people here also seemed drained from their travels, from the slew of events going on, and from not being able to unwind over the weekend. Having the conference on the weekend may have made it possible for some to get here who co

Avril Lavigne Breaks YouTube Record | Girlfriend Music Video Is First To Top 100 Million Views
YouTube is by far the biggest video sharing site on the Internet, but until now, no single video has managed to reach 100 million views. How did it end up being Avril Lavigne that managed it? The story of the Avril Lavigne video for her single Girlfriend has been going on 18 months now, as that is when RCA Records uploaded the video to YouTube with the ubiquitous ‘embedding disabled’. Avril Lavigne Vs Evolution It didn’t really get interesting until earlier this year when Girlfriend and The E
100,000,000
Avril Lavigne’s video for Girlfriend has knocked The Evolution of Dance from it’s YouTube toppermost (3 year) No 1 spot. It’s a monumental occasion for both Lavigne and YouTube. There is, of course, a certain amount of controversy surrounding the figures. A ‘cheating’ (or clever, depending on how you look at it) AvrilBandAids.com have created a way to hoodwink the YouTube system. When fans open a browser on the YouTube page, the video is auto refreshed every 15 seconds, thus helping promote

The race to be the first You Tube video to get to 100 million viewings is hotting up. Avril Lavigne YouTube “Fan Cheat” Hoax Helps it Take Top Spot
What do John Edwards, the Chinese Olympic Gymnastics Team, and certain fans of Avril Lavigne have in common? They all may be involved in cheating. The difference is, the Avril Lavigne fans haven’t technically cheated. They used “cheating” to promote a viral marketing campaign. So far, it’s worked. They’re now #1. For a long, long time, the innovative and clever “Evolution of Dance” video has held the top spot as the most watched video ever on YouTube. It features a man, Judson Laipply, p
The Evolution of Dance
If you like music and/or dance, you’ll really appreciate this. I laughed, I cried (well, not really), and it almost got me to dance: [The Evolution of Dance.com] P.S. Not sure why I am on this dance kick as of late. Perhaps it is some deeply buried Freudian response to compensate for my lack of dancing talent. Or perhaps I just thought it was really funny and wanted to brighten your day. Either way, I hope it caused your foot to tap (’cause that is about all I can do) and your mouth to gri
Love/Hate With Brido: I Hate Avril Lavigne
Click here to read Mike’s previous columns about the greatest comic you probably never heard of and why he hates his roommates. Have you ever heard of Judson Laipply? No? What if I call him “The Evolution of the Dance Guy?” Now you’ve got it. Until recently, Judson Laipply had the most-watched video in the history of YouTube. He has 93.4 million views. The video is kind of lame, but that’s not important. People loved him. I didn’t, but people did. People sent his clip all arou
Avril Lavigne’s Girlfriend Is… YouTube
The first single from pop star Avril Lavigne’s third album (The Best Damn Thing) and No. 1 Billboard hit in the U.S. in 2007, Girlfriend recently achieved online notoriety when its video ousted YouTube’s longtime most-viewed champ, Evolution of Dance, on July 18, 2008. Dance, uploaded by inspirational comedian Judson Laipply in April ‘06 just months after YouTube’s launch, held the top spot for almost two years. In an attempt to explain the vid’s appeal, NYTimes columnist Virginia Heffernan c
