MTV is 25 years old
Age is something that just keeps jumping up and biting me.
I remember the first day that MTV was on the air. Holy smoke. And that was 25 years ago !
It certainly isn’t the same as it was back then. MTV revolutionized music videos back then, and now they are struggling to survive. Just like everything else, the kids now have instant access to all their tunes and videos and do not have to sit around waiting for the premiere on MTV.
I guess I just add this to my repertoire.

Reflections on time and technology
My last post is about something that seems to happen more and more these days. I think it is a result of my age (44) and constant reminders of time past that come up a lot in conversations with my teenagers.
Technology advancements have multiplied so much since I was a kid. I can just imagine how the changes feel to anyone older than me. And now if you talk about technology the conversation is usually centered around computers, internet and digital devices like cell phones and iPods.
But how about some of the basic real life technology that changed [...]

The Hills Season 4
The Hills Season 4 August 29th, 2008 by Amanda All The Hills fans will be excited to know that The Hills season 4 has been picked up and is airing in the USA on Monday’s on MTV as I write. Complete with all the drama season 4 see’s Heidi and Spencer reunited, Lauren and Stephanie’s friendship blossom and then burn, Lo and Audrina’s feud get worse and a set of new boys. At the moment all of season 1, 2 and 3 is available to buy on iTunes so it should not be long before season 4 airs in the UK.

Last year, filmmaker James C. Strouse (seen above) made a triumphant debut with a film called Grace Is Gone, an incredibly heart-wrenching drama that became a huge Sundance hit.
