Busy Times

I guess I have to admit I might be considered a redneck, a high tech redneck, but a redneck just the same. No I don’t hunt and fish, I don’t have a rebel flag, but, follow the trail.
Every year February is a little busy, Valentines Day on the 14th and my wifes birthday is just a few days later. So being the typical male it causes stress trying to be the thoughtful and giving soul I know I should be. Especially when the Daytona 500 is usually on the same weekend as it is this year.
My biggest concern today is [...]

Aikman, White among finalists for Pro Football Hall

NFL - Aikman, White among finalists for Pro Football Hall:
“CANTON, Ohio — Former Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman and the late Reggie White were among the 15 finalists Wednesday for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.”
I personally can not see how Aikman can miss, but, I am a little biased, having been a Dallas Cowboys fan all my life. And I guess there is a little pressure on him now. His new venture with Roger Staubach is Hall of Fame Racing, he needs that HOF endorsement locked in before they hit the track next month.

HOF Racing pegs T. Labonte, Raines to drive

Now how can this get any better?
My childhood hero Roger Staubach, my favorite all time quarterback Troy Aikman, “Texas” Terry Labonte and Tony Raines working together in my favorite sport, NASCAR!
There is no doubt that I have a new favorite Nascar Team, Hall of Fame Racing. Aikman and Staubach have already shown great leadership abilities with their patience in getting into Nascar.
I am already looking to the 2006 season with even more enthusiasm.

Professional Sports

As a kid growing up I was a major NFL Football fan. My beloved Dallas Cowboys were as close to my heart as anything else in life. Over the years I never missed a game. In 1997 when I moved to Mississippi I purchased Direct TV for the sole purpose of getting all the Cowboy games.
I began loosing interest in Professional sports in 2000. With free agency in football the loyalty issue was lost. No longer was a player a part of a team for years. Roger Staubach was a Dallas Cowboy, Troy Aikman was a Dallas Cowboy, Emmitt Smith, [...]

Troy Aikman Is Just As Sick Of Brett Favre As You Are

Troy Aikman owns a lifetime record of 9-1 against the Packers, but apparently he hasn't hammered Brett Favre over his career. The ex-QB and FOX analyst was on the 2 Live Stews radio show today to talk all things NFL, but he had some interesting things to say about Aaron Rodgers and the flip-flopping Brett Favre.... "This has been going on for over a decade. Going into '96, the Super Bowl that he won. He talked about it prior to that game that if he won that Super Bowl he may in fact retire. And

Fred Brito, Legendary Conman, Says “I Didn’t Do It!”

Oh boy, this Fred Brito stuff keeps on twisting. According to Dallas Observer editor Robert Wolinsky, he spoke to Fred Brito today, and Brito is LIVID. Apparently, the conman claims he never posted on his site that he bought Troy Aikman’s 1993 Super Bowl Ring. He claims someone hacked his site and posted it on there while he is in Mexico. Read it here!!! “I did not write all this stuff,” he insisted. “But it’s all over the blasted Internet that I am some big liar.” But you are the Fred Brito

Investigative Report: Fred Brito Is A Liar

It didn’t take long to solve the Fred Brito case, and I have to give special kudos to Dallas Observer blogger Robert Wilonsky, who is a true hero in journalism in my book. Fred Brito made claims that he purchased at auction Troy Aikman’s 1993 Super Bowl ring. I was immediately skeptical of his claim. People like that don’t get prizes like Aikman’s ring. I launched the investigation this morning. Mr. Wilonsky got word of it, and immediately made a call to Aikman’s circle of friends. You can

Is Convicted Criminal Fred Brito Lying About Troy Aikman’s Ring?

The Landry Hat has launched a full investigation into Fred Brito’s claim that he has purchased at auction Troy Aikman’s 1993 Super Bowl ring. Mr. Brito obviously doesn’t know what I do for a living, and quite frankly, that’s OK. The investigation won’t end until I can prove he has the ring, and box seats to Dallas Cowboys games. If Mr. Brito had the ring, why would he post a silly fake JPEG of it on his site? If I had that ring I would be showing pictures of it on my hand. I would be showing p

Convicted Criminal Has Troy Aikman’s 1993 Super Bowl Ring

The Fred Brito plot thickens. Who is Fred Brito? First of all, he recently purchased Troy Aikman’s 1993 Super Bowl ring, and that is why he is the subject of several posts here. But there’s a better Fred Brito story on his own Web page. Brito is a man who lived in opulence, and had connections with Hollywood stars. Apparently, he is back living in riches, telling his story of his criminal past. Fred Brito would live in the lap of luxury, of fast cars, unlimited cash and world wide excursions.

Sorry Troy

True story.   Back in the early 90s, I attended a taping of a television sports talk show featuring Troy Aikman and some other sports caster type fellows whose names I don’t remember. I know nothing about football and it would not even be possible for me to care less about football than I already do. Yet there [...]

I'm Posting a Half-Naked Chick for the First Time Because of Tony Mandarich

When I started this blog, I told myself I wasn't going to resort to posting pictures of chicks in bikinis. I don't mind other sites that do it, that's just not how I was going to roll, so to speak. However, tonight became the exception to the rule after I read about Tony Mandarich's new profession. First, for those of you that don't know, Tony Mandarich was the first round pick for the Packers in 1989. The offensive lineman was drafted with the two pick, sandwhiched inbetween Troy Aikman and B
