In some things they are right, but some things I don't believe. Of course the prices of oil are affected by the war! It is, because the USA invests lot of money into it and investors are not buying the dollar. And if they buy dollars, the dollar is going high, but when don't, it is going down. And who would buy a currency of a country, which is in a war? But the rest about how the low dollar influences the oil should be true. I do not how long ago it was, but once the oil went high too (not so high as it is now). It was, because oil companies told, that they have less oil than they really had, because they wanted to higher up the price on the market. So we often do not see what is beside the high prices... And of course, the supplies of the oil in the Earth´s crust are getting smaller and smaller. Sooner or later there will be not more places where you can drill and maybe the US is over searched and there is just no more oil... But I do not know how many geological researches were done there. And what have you done? Think. Did you used the oil economically? NO! It is still normal for you to have cars with consumption 10 litres for 100 km as I heard. And it is high for the most of the world. My boyfriends European car has only 6 litres for 100 km and diesels can have only 4 litres for 100 km. (OK, I count. 6 litres per 100 km is 1,58 gallon per 62 miles) You there in America have such an opportunity to use alternative sources the energy. But for a very long time you had there low prices and it was easier to buy oil and make energy. And maybe it was affected by oil companies too and their lobbyist in the government...
